Races from 8lb lower than the last of her three wins, which came in 2015. Conditions and trip are her optimum, though recent efforts on the Flat have been uninspiring and she refused to race last time. Bit to prove.
0-10 so far, though has made the frame on a couple of recent occasions over hurdles (2m, yielding both times). Decent effort last time on heavy ground and with untapped potential, it would not surprise if she is a leading player.
Acts well on good ground, though this trip looks short of his best, with all his winning form being at 2m4f or further. Capable of being competitive from this mark, but needs the race to be run to bring stamina into play.
0-12 on his CV, though his best efforts have been on good ground and he has also run well around here in defeat over 2m4f. First-time visor may add an extra dimension over this shorter trip and he is not ruled out.
Wheels came off at Hexham last time, but was showing steady improvement in three starts for this yard prior to that. If he can get back to the form of his maiden hurdle run here in May then he would have a squeak.
Won a Market Rasen seller (2m½f, good) in August and put in a decent run in context in a Hexham handicap next time. 3lb higher now though and has a bit to prove after his last two efforts.
Acts well on a sound surface and is best at around this trip. Scored from a 7lb lower mark at Cartmel in August and not disgraced from today's mark last time. Will clearly need to improve again to win this.
Well beaten on both starts in novices'/maiden hurdles since joining this yard. Both of those were on soft/heavy and he may do better on good. Mark does not look to be a gimme, but stable won this last year and an improved effort would not surprise.
You have to go back to 2011 to find both his hurdling wins, which came over 2m-2m2½f on good ground. Has only seen the racecourse 11 times since the latter success and looks best watched on his first start since July 2015.
Won here over 2m4f (good) in the spring and again has conditions to suit. 6lb higher than that winning mark and well held back here from 1lb higher in May. Recent AW run offered some encouragement and probably has each-way claims.
0-11 over hurdles and frustrating to follow, having finished runner-up five times, including her last two runs. Most recent of those was over C&D (good) 14 months ago from 3lb higher and if she is race fit after that absence then she has claims.
Another 11-race maiden over hurdles, though his two runs here in the spring offer encouragement going into this on today's mark. Trip and ground suit and if visor has a positive effect you could see him being thereabouts.
0-26 under both codes. Could give him a squeak based on his Perth run in July, when beaten under 4L into third (2m, good) from 2lb higher. Little encouragement here last time and clearly carries risks.
His best effort so far was when beaten just over 3L at Carlisle (2m1f, good) in May from a mark of 88. May have needed his latest outing here over 2m4f after a break. From 2lb lower than that Carlisle run he is not ruled out.
Forecasts
Fit For Fifty (3/1), Boytonrath (5/1), Four Mile Beach (17/2), Greenworldsolution (9/1), Mitcd (10/1), Pixiepot (11/1), Riverside Bridge (11/1), Baraboy (14/1), Polarbrook (16/1), Kisumu (16/1), Bollin Line (20/1), Russian Rascal (40/1), Russian Royale (50/1), King's Realm (50/1)
A very moderate contest where minor cases can be made out for a number of them, though perhaps it might be worth siding with Gordon Elliott's Irish raider BOYTONRATH. The seven-year-old has shown enough in several recent races to suggest that she may have a race like this in her. Greenworldsolution is not ruled out in a first-time visor, while Riverside Bridge, Four Mile Beach and Fit For Fifty are others likely to be vying for the prizes.
- Boytonrath
- Greenworldsolution
- Riverside Bridge
