Hurricane Darwint40
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-10| J: D F O'Regan| T: A Fleming| OR:  118
7/2
Comfortable winner over the Navan fences in September and seeks to exploit a more accommodating mark over hurdles. Promises to stay this far and yard are in form.
2
Horse silk
Seskinane25
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-10| J: Mr E Mahon(7)| T: B McMahon| OR:  118| D
14/1
Shot up the weights following a Navan victory in April. Another bold show at the Listowel festival has seen him go up further and this mark may be asking too much at his age. Better on heavy ground.
3
Horse silk
Small World35
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: Ruby Walsh| T: Peter Fahey| OR:  114| CD
7/4
Came from an unpromising position to score over C&D in September. Now 2-2 under Ruby Walsh and handicapper has been fair.
4
Horse silk
Hollow Tree18
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-2| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott| OR:  110
4/1
His last victory came in a Grade 1 contest six years ago. Went well on first start for new connections over an inadequate trip and this looks a more suitable opportunity.
5
Horse silk
Rory O'Moore18
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-2| J: Mr J W O'Neill(7)| T: R O'Neill| OR:  110
33/1
Has gone three years without a win and tackles a new trip in search of that long awaited victory.
6
Horse silk
Glendine River28
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: Brian Hayes| T: Dermot P O'Brien| OR:  106
16/1
Tramore specialist who has failed to look as effective elsewhere. Has work to do over this trip on soft ground and handicapped on her Tramore form.
7
Horse silk
King Bluep47
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-12| J: Ms K Walsh| T: R O'Sullivan| OR:  106
13/2
A Roscommon victory and another good run since t Sligo have seen raised to a career high mark. The softer the better for him but others look better treated.
8
Horse silk
Glencairn View389
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-10| J: D E Mullins| T: A Mullins| OR:  104| D
11/1
Winning point-to-pointer who has been off the track for over a year. Likely to improve for this trip but may need the run. Worth a market check nevertheless as he showed promise in his maidens.

Forecasts

Small World (7/4), Hurricane Darwin (7/2), Hollow Tree (4/1), King Blue (13/2), Glencairn View (11/1), Seskinane (14/1), Glendine River (16/1), Rory O'Moore (33/1)

Verdict

HOLLOW TREE was a top-class juvenile hurdler who has been rejuvenated for a switch to his new handler. Not the force he was but potentially well treated here now stepping up to a more suitable trip. Small World goes well for today's rider and has an attitude you want to have on your side. The handicapper has not been too hard on him and it would come as little surprise if he added another victory to his CV. Hurricane Darwin was a good winner over fences but is less effective over the smaller obstacles. Nevertheless, his yard are in form and he should be thereabouts.
  1. Hollow Tree
  2. Small World
  3. Hurricane Darwin
