Still a maiden but not many miles on the clock and has to be of interest on her first start for her new trainer. Bit to prove on her AW debut though.

2-22 in career starts (1-10 on the AW at Dundalk) , so possible he's due a change of fortune. Last two starts have been modest though he looks a risky option on face value.

Endured a fruitless spell over hurdles and made little impact when returned to the Flat at Naas in July. Absence since then a concern but has gone well over C&D in the past, so dangerous to rule out too quickly.

Was in good form over a mile earlier in the year but paid the price with a steep climb in the ratings. Copes with this sort of trip but last couple of starts poor, so now has something to prove.

Dual C&D winner earlier in the year and has held his form pretty well since then. Held off his highest mark for a while latest but should be better suited by this drop in trip and cannot be discounted in this company.

Course debutante but represents a yard with a searing record with its raids on Flat-race prize money. Unexposed and in the minority of possible improvers - has to make the shortlist.

Been kept busy of late and seemingly thriving on racing. Plenty to prove as regards this trip, however, and stamina will be pushed into the unknown in the latter stages. Others preferred.

This C&D holds no fears and arrives here in good heart. Leading contender in this company in spite of needing to be at his from this current mark.

Versatile performer at a modest level with a C&D win to his name. Good effort on reappearance here after a break and should strip fitter for the outing. Sound place claims if capable of a similar effort.

Lots to like about her claims given the positive jockey booking, sound recent profile, and ability to handle this surface. Has a little scope for improvement but needs to defy career highest mark.

Steps out of maiden company at a realistic level and appeals as one of the less exposed types that can use this as a springboard to potentially better things. Needs to adapt to this new (to her) racing surface though.

Interesting on the pick of her form but has never tried this trip before and comes here with a bit to prove. Also needs to reverse recent form with Park Row, so no easy task ahead.

French form hard to equate but did win over an extended mile, so possible the step up in trip won't be an issue. Pedigree suggests it will suit. One to monitor in the betting.

Found only the one pace when asked for effort on first try over this C&D latest. Possible she has more to offer but others more convincing on these terms..

Verdict

Cases can be laid out for a handful but VIENNA CIRCLE has plenty of scope if she adapt to this surface and, give that the fellow Michael Halford-trained Miss Snossyboots could deflect the attention, the handicap debutante gets the slenderest of votes of confidence ahead of her stablemate on the grounds of better value. Park Row is also on the right path just now and along with the well handicapped Alnahar, has to be respected.
