Last two starts have been on the AW at Kempton and he was not beaten far on either occasion. Reverts to turf, but was well held over C&D on his last visit in August.
Has not won this year following a gelding operation. Inching down the weights and takes a significant step up in trip. Interesting if the market speaks in his favour, but Ajman King may be the stable's number one.
Not hard pressed to win handicaps at Sandown and Bath on her last two starts. Has gone up 9lb for those successes, but is on a roll and warrants respect.
Won a maiden over this trip at Ayr before finishing last of four on his handicap debut at Newmarket where he seemed not to stay 1m4f. Started evens favourite that day, so clearly has a reputation and may be able to bounce back over shorter.
Had been knocking on the door before being found an easy opening at Epsom last time. Runs in a handicap for the first time and is likely to be thereabouts for leading connections.
Won three times in the summer and looked progressive, but the handicapper had his say and she has struggled off higher marks on her last two starts. May be vulnerable too less exposed types.
Seemed to show improved form when a good second at Redcar to a horse who has won again since. Entitled to plenty of respect on that display, but has to cope with a 4lb rise.
Made all when winning at Beverley last month, but got a soft lead there and failed to build on that win when well held at York last time. Both wins have come on good to firm, so he needs the ground to dry.
Won on debut at Catterick around this time last year, but was out of her depth behind Winter in the 1,000 Guineas in the spring. No impact in a couple of handicaps since then and has questions to answer despite a reduced handicap mark.
Stable companion of Society Red who has posted good efforts on his last two starts at Pontefract and Windsor. Runs off the same mark and is unlikely to be disgraced.
Forecasts
Ajman King (13/8), Pouvoir Magique (4/1), Armandihan (6/1), Canberra Cliffs (10/1), Glenys The Menace (12/1), Andok (14/1), Society Red (16/1), Sultan Baybars (16/1), Al Hamdany (20/1), Ce La Vie (33/1)
Top weight Al Hamdany is not ruled out on his return to turf, while stable companions Society Red and Andok are worth a second glance. The short list, though, is headed by the in-form Canberra Cliffs and the less exposed Pouvoir Magique and AJMAN KING. The latter did no more than he was entitled to when winning at Epsom last time and, with his confidence boosted, can make a wining start in handicap company. The selection's stable companion Sultan Baybars is worth keeping an eye on stepped up in trip.
- Ajman King
- Pouvoir Magique
- Canberra Cliffs
