5/2
Returns to action for the first time in eight months but set a fair standard in this context if ready to go and that seems a likely scenario given connections.
2
Horse silk
4/9
Ballinrobe bumper last year and solid second on return from layoff in the sphere at Galway last month, makes hurdles bow for champion trainer/jockey combo and sure to know her job.
3
Horse silk
Jennys Grey111
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: Brian Hayes| T: J Dullea| D
50/1
Landed a 2m mares bumper at Wexford in May by ½L on good ground, no impact on hurdles bow at the same track over 2m4f in July and best watched for now.
4
Horse silk
Tara Dylant11
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: D J Mullins| T: T Mullins
20/1
Pretty useful winner on the Flat, reaching peak rating of 86, has joined a good team for change to this discipline and capable of making a solid start.
5
Horse silk
66/1
Winner of a bumper at Killarney in July (2m1f, good) but sent off 50/1 and beaten a long way on hurdles bow Tipperary this month and stiff ask based on that showing.
6
Horse silk
50/1
Modest winner on the Flat, out of form when last spotted in that sphere at Roscommon 79 days ago and an unlikely winner on first start over obstacles.
7
Horse silk
100/1
Sent off 100/1 and no danger in 2m2f novice hurdle at Tipperary on soft ground recently. Aspirations could be similar here.
9
Horse silk
Heather Moth191
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-13| J: R Loughran| T: M Phelan
50/1
Beaten more than 60L in 2m4f Fairyhouse bumper on sole outing under rules back in April, has won in the point-to-point sphere but likely to be up against it on return.
10
Horse silk
33/1
Half-sister to the very useful hurdler/chaser Gilgamboa, she was well beaten off in a Punchestown maiden in May when last spotted. May improve in time.
11
Horse silk
16/1
Fair efforts in bumpers since falling on debut at Listowel in heavy ground last month over timber, confidence should be back and type to do better.
Fell on debut at Clonmel in June and unimpressive in Killarney bumper in August or Tipperary maiden hurdle (2m, soft) this month in two runs since.
13
Horse silk
40/1
Westerner filly makes debut in this, stamina set to be an asset on breeding and perhaps watched on first start over 2m unless betting says different.
14
Horse silk
Flamingo's Court131
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: A Ring(3)| T: P Casey
66/1
Couple of decent efforts in bumpers, notably at Ballinrobe in May, returns from 131 days off for hurdles bow and likely to have minor role to fulfil.
15
Horse silk
100/1
Gold Well filly is a half-sister to useful 2m4f hurdle winner Imperial Leader, will likely stay plenty further than 2m but worth a market check on debut.
Yeats filly whose dam was a 2m hurdles winner, steps out for debut in the McManus silks and not inconceivable she could get involved.
17
Horse silk
Moll Dotet128
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: Phillip Enright| T: J J Walsh
100/1
Second-rate 45-rated Flat performer, ninth of 18 beaten 27L on hurdling debut last month. Looks to be below what is going to be required here.
18
Horse silk
50/1
Oscar filly is a half-sister to modest 2m hurdle winner Rob Robin, doesn't have the makings of a first-time-out winner in against some promising types.

Verdict

Canelie sets the standard on what she has achieved in her native France and here last term, but it was something of a disappointment she couldn't open her account in four attempts over hurdles. She is back from a layoff now and cedes race fitness to the potentially smart hurdling debutante GLENS HARMONY. Representing the most powerful handler in the land, she comes here having run well in a Galway bumper off her layoff and, with fitness on her side, this sister to the Cheltenham Festival winner Glens Melody is taken to get off to the perfect start over timber. The likes of Minnies Secret, Glamorous Gold and Tara Dylan are noted for the minor placings.
