Beat a modest lot impressively on debut at Epsom (8.5f, good to firm) and not disgraced under a penalty in novice events since on much slower ground. Initial handicap mark is taking few chances but he should still be able to compete.
Appreciated the step up to a mile to score at Windsor and looked unlucky there when supported last time. Handicapper has taken few chances upping him 3lb, but he was entered for a Listed race on Monday before soft ground prompted his withdrawal.
Relished this test of stamina to land some good bets two weeks ago. A 6lb rise seems fair enough and he is dropped in class. Rider 4-13 for the stable.
Went close on nursery debut when forced to switch wide. Clearly has the stamina to win this but handicapper is demanding a lot more from her.
His Yarmouth third at 80/1 looks good as that race has produced winners since, but that was followed by a lesser effort in less demanding company next time. That run would give him something to find off this initial mark.
Has lacked a bit of pace this term but a head second to the useful Billesdon Brook, flattering though it was, leaves him on a handy mark if this longer trip proves to be the answer.
Has improved with each run and promises more over this trip and the jockey booking looks a positive sign. Handicap mark looks right and any further progress over the past three weeks would make him hard to beat.
From a good family and ought to stay well. Makes nursery debut off a fair mark and having attracted support last time.
Improved effort when upped in trip last time at Wolverhampton. A 7lb hike in the weights plus a step up in class sets her a really stern test here.
Has caught the eye on all four starts whilst leaving the impression there is better to come. Has stamina in the pedigree and one to note if supported.
Forecasts
Ship Of The Fen (5/4), Lynwood Gold (6/1), Simpson (7/1), Shaherezada (10/1), Regular Income (12/1), Cheeky Rascal (12/1), Gift of Hera (16/1), Blooriedotcom (16/1), Bajan Gold (20/1), Gold Eagle (25/1)
The lightly raced pair Gift Of Hera and Bajan Gold are both potentially better than we have seen so far and a market move for either would be significant. Regular Income is another with little experience and his current rate of improvement gives him an excellent chance off this mark. SHIP OF THE FEN is regarded as a potentially useful stayer by his yard and the booking of Ryan Moore is a positive for this impressive Nottingham scorer. Simpson rates a big danger having been unlucky last time. On form he does not look as well treated as the selection but a recent Listed entry suggests he may have a lot more to offer.
