Quite lightly-raced for his age and only win came in a Cork maiden in 2015. Unlucky to be touched off over 7f at Limerick last time and has claims on that effort off 4lb higher, but has to cope with a 2f drop in trip.
Regular runner on the AW at Dundalk and is 0-12 on turf. Looks high enough in the handicap on his performances on turf and testing ground may be an issue.
Both his win have come over 5f with cut in the ground so conditions look ideal. On the down side, he has been some way below his best in recent runs. Tongue tied for the first time.
Won one of her nine starts when trained in England by Richard Hannon. Starts out for a new trainer today and the market may be the best guide to her chance in a first-time hood.
Consistent sort who ran right up to his best when second of 21 to Landline over 6f at this track last time. Has gone up 4lb and drop in trip is not ideal, but cannot be ruled out in his current vein of form.
First run for this trainer saw her finish eighth of 17 over 6f at Fairyhouse. Has been dropped 1lb and should have enough speed to cope with this return to 5f.
Ran well behind Doonard Prince over 6f at this track last month, but two subsequent runs over the minimum trip have been disappointing. Has questions to answer.
Eights wins from 62 starts is a respectable return, but recent efforts have been disappointing. Handicap mark is falling accordingly and he may well pop up again at some stage.
Still looking for her first victory after nine starts, but has been on the premises on her recent starts and has dropped to a feasible handicap mark. Handles cut and has each-way claims.
Placed once in seven starts when trained by Charles O'Brien, she makes her first appearance for a new trainer fitted with first-time cheekpieces and a first-time tongue tie. Has not run for over a year and is best watched.
Comes into this in prime form following wins at Tipperary and this track. Has gone up 15lb for those two successes, but is clearly progressive and has to be taken seriously.
Only victory in 38 starts came over C&D in April. Behind Landline last time and needs to take a step forward.
Placed just once in 13 starts and was another who was adrift of Landline last time. No obvious reason why she should turn the tables.
Handicap mark has fallen and, as a result, her last two displays have been more encouraging. Beaten into third, 2¾L behind Landline last time when racing on the opposite side of the track, and is 6lb better off. Every chance on that form line.
Winner of six races, but not as good as he was and it is no surprise to see his handicap mark tumble. Well beaten on recent starts and others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Doonard Prince (9/2), Compass Hill (9/2), Nora Batt (5/1), Pillar (7/1), Landline (7/1), A Few Dollars More (9/1), Slumming Angel (11/1), Apache Gold (16/1), Lily's Prince (20/1), Sixties Sue (20/1), Independence Day (20/1), Danz Gift (20/1), Lyin Eyes (33/1), Fabric (33/1), Madam Bounska (50/1)
Landline is the obvious starting point and he may well be progressive enough to complete the hat-trick, but strictly on the book NORA BATT has the beating of him. She raced on the opposite side of the track to the winner last time and might have been a shade unlucky. The consistent Doonard Prince and nicely-handicapped Slumming Angel head a host of potential dangers.
- Nora Batt
- Landline
- Doonard Prince
