Comes from a speedy family and cost £58,000 as a yearling. Not helped by wide draw when last of 8 on debut at Catterick recently, and no surprise to see him leave that form well behind.
€175,000 breeze-up buy who was hampered early when good neck second at Beverley (7½f, soft) on last month's debut. Sure to improve for that experience, and likely to play a leading role now.
Half-brother to sprint winners Gowanharry and Gowanless out of a modest but prolific winner at 5f/6f. Tongue tie raises a concern on racecourse bow, however, and yard not noted for success with juveniles.
55,000 gns Lonrho half-brother to a turf winner in the US. Makes some appeal on breeding, and yard does well at this venue, but entitled to need experience on racecourse debut.
Exchange Rate colt who cost 120,000 gns as a yearling, and bettered promising debut run when runner-up over 7f at Kempton last time. Stiffer track likely to suit on that evidence, and one to consider.
Beaten at short odds on all four starts to date, but latest 2¾ lengths second of 16 to Barford in novice at York (7.9f, good) represents his best effort yet, and the one to beat strictly on form.
Made quite a promising debut at Haydock (7f, good) in August, but failed to build on that next time, and ran poorly on return to that track on latest start, for all heavy ground is a possible excuse.
Has shown ability on both starts on heavy ground at around a mile, and ought to win races granted a test of stamina, but this is tougher, and the drop to 7f looks a negative.
Camacho half-brother to middle-distance winner Kaniza, although dam won over 6f in US. Already gelded, but represents a powerful yard, and folly to dismiss despite his lack of racecourse experience.
Elzaam half-brother to 6f/7f winner Mia Caterina. Unfancied, and always outpaced on first attempt at Musselburgh early this month; makes little immediate appeal on that evidence.
Delegator filly, the first foal of a 1m-1¼m winner, herself half-sister to smart 1¼m-1½m winner Connecticut. Yard not had a 2-y-o success in recent years, and looks a long-term project on paper.

Forecasts
Big Kitten (13/8), Moqarrar (7/4), Porth Swtan (11/4), Qianlong (3/1), Windsor Cross (33/1), Spark Of War (33/1), Skito Soldier (33/1), Howbaar (33/1), Altered Method (33/1), Gowanbuster (100/1), Wowsham (100/1), Leahcar (100/1)
Qianlong is the one to beat on the figures, and his latest effort represented an improvement, so he's respected despite a few short-priced defeats, but preference is for Big Kitten, who went agonisingly close on debut at Beverley, and is open to significant progress, Moqarrar stayed on well when second at Kempton recently, and with the stiffer test here likely to suit, is another who will have a say.
- Big Kitten
- Qianlong
- Moqarrar
