Gradually getting the hangs of things and ran well to chase home a long odds-on shot over C&D on his latest outing. Has to be given serious consideration following that display.
Son of Exceed And Excel who was boughty for 370,000 gns at the breeze-up sales in April and is a half-brother to a couple of decent winners. Finished in midfield on debut at Windsor and is likely to be wiser for the experience.
Well held in contests at York (7f) and Windsor (1m). Drops back in trip, bit pedigree suggests it will not suit and he looks a long-term prospect. Wears a hood for the first time.
Not much to get excited about in two starts so far and finished some way adrift of Balletomane over C&D last time. Needs to improve to figure.
By Footstepsinthesand, he cost €75,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to useful 5f winner Miss Power. Needed the experience when well beaten on debut over C&D and a first-time hood will need to have a positive effect if he is to figure.
Signs of ability in both starts at Yarmouth and Lingfield. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this and that is the most likely route for him.
Only limited promise in three starts so far, the last two over 7f. Reverts back to the distance of his debut run with plenty to prove.
Lethal force colt who cost €120,000 as a foal and whose dam is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Rimth. Needed the experience when sixth of nine at Ripon and is a likely improver.
After three quiet runs in novice/maiden company, she produced her best display to finish fourth of 14 in a nursery at Newcastle. Surprising that she reverts to this type of contest, but her last run entitles her to respect.
Forecasts
Balletomane (9/4), Tashaaboh (5/2), Masked Defender (7/2), Conflagration (9/2), Global Wonder (11/1), Avon Green (16/1), Fleeting Steps (25/1), Fitzrovia (66/1), Enforcement (66/1)
This looks the weaker of the two divisions of this contest and it can go to BALLETOMANE, who is improving and ran well behind a talented rival over C&D last time. Tashaaboh is expected to step up on his debut effort at Ripon, Avon Green showed improvement at Newcastle last time and can figure, while Conflagration may be the best of two runners from his stable.
- Balletomane
- Tashaaboh
- Conflagration
