Dark Angel colt who cost 500,000gns as a yearling and whose dam won over 5f and 6f, including at Group 3 level. Plenty of appeal on breeding and looks one of the more likely newcomers.
Son of Irish stallion Tough As Nails out of a Fantastic Light mare, he cost €11,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to two winners in North America. Stable not noted for the volume of its juvenile winners.
Having shown promise on both starts at Goodwood and Chepstow, he has experience on his side. This looks a slightly tougher race, but he warrants respect.
Has raced keenly when finishing down the field in two juvenile contests at Newmarket. Looks a work in progress and may do better when handicapped.
Ran his best race in three attempts when second over C&D last time. Seems to be on an upward curve and will be more streetwise than the majority of his rivals.
Although well beaten in three starts, including at this course last time, he has hinted at ability. Perhaps he needs a little more time to develop.
Won a small contest at Leicester in August, but stepped up on that considerably when third of 28 in the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes at Newmarket. That is good form and entitles her to serious consideration.
Daughter of Showcasing out of a mare who is the daughter of a winning sprinter in North America. Stable always to be respected when saddling a two-year-old so worth a market check.
Favourite when runner-up at Pontefract on debut, but pulled far too hard when only fifth over C&D on her next outing. Clearly has plenty of ability, but it needs to be harnessed.
Forecasts
Procedure (6/4), Misty Spirit (2/1), Perfect Hustler (4/1), Eraad (8/1), Frostbite (16/1), Ocean Spray (40/1), Global Spirit (50/1), Philamundo (50/1), Felstead Knight (66/1)
Of the newcomers, the choicely-bred Eraad could fare best, but this may go to one of those with experience. Procedure may well prove the best of these long term, but she took a fierce hold last time and needs to learn to settle, and preference on this occasion is for MISTY SPIRIT, who showed much improved form last time and has experience on her side. Frostbite and Perfect Hustler also bring decent form to the table and are respected.
