Well beaten and no impression in two career starts on the AW at Dundalk. Tough ask and others preferred.
Fair run after a layoff when sixth of 17 beaten 3¾L here over 7f. Can improve on that run if proving as effective back to 6f today and looks one of the more likely sorts.
Gelded since lone run this season at Gowran in September. Challenged before fading there but steps back fully 3f in distance today so hard to gauge how he will handle this very different test.
Acclamation colt out of a Kyllachy mare related to Go Go Green, The Happy Hammer and recent Windsor Park winner All Out. Leading jockey on board here which suggests a decent effort expected on belated debut.
Slowly away on two career starts firstly here and last time out at Tipperary last month. Significant step up would be required although he did progress from his first race.
Well beaten in both starts to date and trainer is without a winner in 2017. Impossible to make a case for him based on form so far.
Missed the break and beaten 26L when sent off at 100/1 on debut in a Naas 6f maiden. Needs to improve significantly to play a role here.
Raced keenly and beaten by half way on debut in a Roscommon maiden over 1m2f in August. Step back ought to aid her to settle but as a five-year old one must question where she has been until now.
Maiden of 10 races seems to have found a consistent but very moderate level of form. Probably capable of making the frame here but hard to see her being up to winning.
Improved to finish fourth of 18 beaten 3½L in a Cork maiden on soft ground earlier this month. Back in trip today but capable although she did disappoint in lone previous effort on heavy ground.
Promising debut effort at Navan when fourth of 18 but struggled in heavy ground at Listowel next time. Better run here latest over 7f but more needed to feature. May appreciate first-time visor.
Beaten a total of 47L in two career starts 12 months apart with the last run coming at Cork earlier this month when well beaten on soft ground. Very little to be positive about.
Hooded to load and missed the break when sent off at 50/1 in lone run at Naas last year. Hard to make a case for her.
Zebedee filly out of a Flying Spur mare related to multiple winners Spring Loaded, Magical Memory and recent Kempton winner Jonnysimpson. Market best guide to chances here.
Has performed solidly and gradually improved over the summer finishing third of 17 beaten 1¼L last month over 7f. May appreciate the drop in trip here.
Improved on a moderate debut, beaten 22L in Gowran Park maiden when finishing fourth of 12 at Tipperary last month over 1m1f. Looked like she wanted further not a 3f drop there so distance here the major concern.
Forecasts
Famous Pearl (9/2), Althiba (5/1), Sally Gap (11/2), Thiswaycadeaux (6/1), Motahassen (6/1), Massa Lubrense (8/1), Ice Storm (8/1), Tide Of Time (10/1), On The Boards (25/1), Rocklamation (33/1), Nisior Donn (50/1), Tyrconnell (50/1), Maid In Manhattan (50/1), Darknessintlight (66/1), Danville Girl (66/1), Creggs Lad (66/1)
SALLY GAP ran well over 7f here in September with similar underfoot conditions. She looked like a step back to 6f would be in her favour there (not for the first time) and everything looks set for her to go well with leading jockey booked. Famous Pearl looks capable of winning a race of this nature too but she probably wouldn't want it too soft and there is every chance the going will end up heavy with more rain forecast. This is a very different test for Motahassen but he represents top connections so should be a good reason and he has showed hints of ability.
- Sally Gap
- Famous Pearl
- Motahassen
