Acey Milan

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Aidan Coleman| T: A J Honeyball

7/4

Unraced Milan gelding out of Strong Wishes. Tenth foal and a full brother to the fairly useful James Ewart trained Lord Wishes. Closely related to other winners William's Wishes and Beggar's Wishes. €11,500 foal, who is worthy of market inspection.

Form:

Mr Brownstone^t1

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: B G Powell

14/1

Unraced Sakhee gelding out of the 1m winner Sweet Child O'Mine. Wouldn't make obvious appeal as a future jumper, and arrives wearing a tongue tie on debut.

Form:

Speedy Gonzalez¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: N D Fehily| T: W R Muir

20/1

First foal by Josr Algarhoud out of Tellmethings. Finished a well held eighth to Cuckoo's Calling on debut at Huntingdon (runner up Normal Norman won at Market Rasen on Saturday) earlier this month (1m5½f good).

Form: 8

Volcano²⁴¹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: R Johnson| T: Christian Williams

13/8

Unraced €32,000 yearling by Martaline out of Lyli Rose. Sixth foal who is a half-brother to winners who include Rolling Star (2m-2m2f hurdle). With well respected connections, and with the champion jockey booked to ride, so certainly one to note.

Form:

Cassis De Reine

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: James Davies| T: W G M Turner

50/1

Unraced fourth foal by Quatre Saisons out of a fairy moderate Olden Times mare (Reine De Violette). From a stable not known for producing bumper winners.

Form:

Celsiana^p¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: Thomas Greatrex⁽⁷⁾| T: M P Tregoning

16/1

13th foal who cost 15,000 gns as a yearling. By Sepoy out of a Generous mare (Generous Lady), she's a half-sister to seven winners including 2003 St Leger runner up High Accolade. Posted a fairly low key debut at Towcester recently.

Form: 5

Cooling

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: Mitchell Bastyan⁽⁷⁾| T: J L Flint

20/1

Unraced Firebreak filly out of Esplanade. Eighth foal who is a half-sister to 6f juvenile winner Seasider and 1m-1m2f winner Embankment. Her dam was a Flat winner over 1m2f, so she's not necessarily bred for the jumping game.

Form:

Fs Lola

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: J McGrath| T: M Hill

12/1

First foal with a French pedigree by Arvico out of Semi Colon. Her dam was a bumper and 2m2f hurdle winner, so that offers encouragement, but her trainer wouldn't be a regular source of bumper winners. Better with time.

Form:

Nowheretoexit

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: Nick Scholfield| T: D A Rees

33/1

Unraced filly by Exit To Nowhere out of Lady Scarvagh. Fourth living foal, and a sister to point-to-point winner Monlough Girl. Bred to appreciate longer trips in time, so this looks a challenging starting point.

Form:

Shell Crystal^t1

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe

10/1

Unraced homebred filly by Schiaparelli out of the unraced Generous mare Solent Crystal. Her dam was a half-sister to a couple of winners; Felix Fabulla and D'Uberville. With a leading trainer, and arrives wearing a tongue tie on debut.

Form:

Non-Runners

Significant Other

Weight: 10-5| Age: 3

Volcano (13/8), Acey Milan (7/4), Significant Other (7/2), Shell Crystal (10/1), Fs Lola (12/1), Mr Brownstone (14/1), Celsiana (16/1), Speedy Gonzalez (20/1), Cooling (20/1), Nowheretoexit (33/1), Cassis De Reine (50/1)

Not all that much publicly available information with which to form a solid judgement, so as always, the market is likely to prove a helpful guide. The more obvious contenders on paper in terms of pedigree and connections include, Acey Milan, Volcano, Shell Crystal and SIGNIFICANT OTHER. The first named is a full brother to the James Ewart trained Lord Wishes, and is of obvious interest on that score alone, but a narrow preference is for the Dan Skelton trained newcomer. She receives weight from a number of her rivals, and out of Etoile Margot is a half-sister to the Philip Hobbs trained 2015 Caspian Caviar Gold Cup winner Village Vic.
