Winner of a mark of 73 at Brighton in May but disappointing of late and failed to beat a rival home in four starts since being gelded. Probably best watched at present.
Victorious in a 6f seller over C&D back in July. Only four ran on that occasion but he's run well to finish 1L second in a handicap at Chepstow (6f, good) and he is one for the shortlist today.
Useful horse on his day and running well on his favoured soft ground of late. Finished a decent third over 5f at Musselburgh last week and a leading contender in this contest.
Finished third in a selling race on his final start for Richard Fahey but was well held when debuting for this yard at Kempton earlier this month. Cheekpieces return today.
Successful nine times so far but well held in five outings since rejoining this yard in the spring. Soft ground forecast today another negative.
Forecasts
Ballesteros (10/11), Gilmer (11/4), Morache Music (5/1), The Big Lad (12/1), El Torito (20/1), Vroom (20/1), Fullon Clarets (25/1), Head Space (100/1)
BALLESTEROS gets his favoured soft ground once more and can step up on his recent good showings in handicap company by taking this 6f claiming event. The selection has won over this trip in the past and can see off Morache Music who was victorious in a similar race to this here earlier in the season. The application of blinkers for the first time can see Gilmer step up on recent efforts to claim third.
