Not well drawn for an out-and-out front runner but usually runs a game race no matter what the circumstances. Does feature off a high enough mark now though and will do well to dominate a field of this size from his draw.
His overall record isn't one that really inspires and he often races very freely spoiling his chance in that manner at Kempton last time. Now back on turf and well drawn here but this mark still presents him with a tough task here.
Successful over C&D on his penultimate outing that was very much his best performance of the year. Failed to follow-up under a penalty last time and whilst he is sure to handle the ground the draw isn't ideal.
Looks as though there may well be more to come from this Goodwood maiden winner who ran into a progressive sort on his second handicap start last time on the AW. Looks as though he will be suited by further but a player in this nonetheless.
Having shown his best form over 7f it looks at those connections are trying to stretch his stamina (run over 1m4f the last twice). Now drops down 2f in trip but this still looks too far and faces competition for the lead.
Lightly-raced this season although yet to show his best with his mark dropping to reflect that form. Slow away last time out at Ayr over a mile there remains a question mark over him at this trip and on this surface.
Capable sort on his day although he has failed to win this year but will be suited by underfoot conditions. Can be hard to catch right but has been placed on three out of four occasions over C&D and respected of a reduced mark.
Failed to make much of an impact on his last three starts and isn't really seeing his races out at the moment. Handicapper continues to give him a chance but he needs to show a lot more spark to be considered here.
Ran a very respectable race at Thirsk last time out and comes here off a break and back down to his last winning mark. He looks as though he's bubbling under a little this term and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him pop here.
There are doubts about his stamina (all his wins have come over a mile) but he did come good at this time last year rattling off a handicap hat-trick. Looks as though he can win off this mark but also a slight suspicion he may be better on the AW.
Has held his own in handicaps this year without looking what you would call progressive although his consistency has been an enemy with the handicapper not letting him go. Wide draw makes life tough here and a place may be the best he can hope for.
Won for his former yard (William Haggas) but failed to progress and has been well beaten on all three starts for his current yard. Best watched until he shows something having looked out of sorts so far this year.
The only female in the field she showed that she had leant from her debut when winning over C&D in heavy conditions last time out (second won since). Now makes her handicap debut but this will be tougher from an outside draw.
Forecasts
Silvery Moon (9/2), Faithful Creek (5/1), Tuff Rock (11/2), Misscarlett (13/2), Rashford's Double (10/1), Royal Shaheen (10/1), Pirate Look (11/1), Bamber Bridge (14/1), Aardwolf (16/1), Purple Rock (16/1), Trendsetter (16/1), Save The Bees (20/1), Dwight D (66/1)
There are one or two that are bubbling under in this such as Silvery Moon and Purple Rock and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see either of those bounce back to form in this competitive handicap. Misscarlett makes her handicap debut having won over C&D last time but her draw may make life harder this time around even though her winning form has already been franked. Pirate Look is another towards the head of the market but his consistency hasn’t seen the handicapper cut him any slack and a place may be his best shot again. TUFF ROCK may well be suited by further but he comes from a stable in good form and ran well enough last time out to be the suggestion here from a workable stalls position.
- Tuff Rock
- Misscarlett
- Purple Rock
