No question that 7f is his best trip at Newcastle, and he arrives just 1lb higher after being beaten a head by Intiwin over C&D last month. Including his riders claim, he's now 4lb better off with that rival tonight.

A Salisbury maiden winner for Simon Crisford in September 2015, but not as of yet able to register a success for this trainer. Mark is sliding, but poor the past twice and difficult to fancy.

Edged out Gun Case by a head when dropped back to 7f here last month, and with a 2lb rise, he meets that rival on 4lb worse terms tonight (if including rider claims). Could have more to offer on synthetics.

Both AW victories have come on the Fibresand at Southwell (7f and 1m), but has also shown up well enough here, most notably when just over 1L third to Symbolic Star (1m) in March.

Ten race maiden who is falling steadily in the weights. Probably better than the bare result at Chelmsford latest; finished fourth to Chetan after meeting trouble in the run. Visor applied for the first time tonight.

Formerly with Roger Varian (11,000 gns purchase), but is going backwards after a promising start for the yard, and whilst falling sharply down the weights arrives wearing a hood, cheek-pieces and a tongue tie (first time), and that's off-putting.

Not won since April 2016 (Bath) when trained by Mick Channon, and has performed poorly on her last three starts after some better efforts immediately prior to those. Polytrack winner in the past, so worth a try back on the AW.

Has continued to knock on the door at this track over the past couple of months, but has been unable to bust it open, largely due to starting tardily. Closely matched with Intiwin and Gun Case, and on a fair mark more broadly.

An eight race maiden who hasn't appealed as an obvious future winner in any of his three starts this year (all over 7f on turf), and whilst falling in the weights is bypassed for now.

Her best form has come on soft ground, and she's not shown much of an aptitude for AW racing in the past. Theoretically on a good mark these days, but that's because she's a regular under-achiever.

His form strongly suggests that 6f is his best trip, but he tries 7f for the first time in a while after staying on to finish 1L second to Inlawed at Kempton latest. Only his trainers second ever Newcastle runner.

Not shown all that much ability in five starts thus far, but should be stronger for her recent reappearance at Chelmsford (7f); that being her first start for six months.

Off the track since June when finishing last of eight to Whatsthemessage in a 7f Carlisle handicap (good to soft), with no reason to expect more, despite this being her AW debut, and sporting the first time blinkers.

Verdict

Ilka Gransera-Leveque saddles just her second ever runner at Newcastle with See You Mush, and this three-year-old arrives in good order on the back of a strong showing at Kempton (6f), but could prove a fraction vulnerable over this stiff 7f trip. Intiwin edged out tonight's rivals GUN CASE and the frustrating but very well handicapped Grey Destiny when scoring over C&D last month, but faces a tough task to confirm those placings with the runner up on 4lb worse terms for a head. The excellent Rowan Scott's 3lb claim should prove invaluable on the Whillans trained course regular, and he's taken to record an overdue second C&D success.
