Ran well when touched off at Newmarket a couple of runs ago, but not to that level of form behind Alsvinder at Chelmsford. Return to turf will suit and she has claims despite top weight.
Held off this sort of mark on his last two starts after winning well on soft ground at Goodwood at the beginning of last month. Has never won over 5f so has questions to answer from his wide draw.
Returned to winning ways at Windsor in July, but two subsequent runs have not been at that level. Her best runs have come on a sounder surface.
Would have won this with his head in his chest at his peak, but is a light of former days and is on a significant losing streak. First run for a new yard and his chance rests on the change of scenery giving him a new lease of life.
Wins only occasionally, but did get his head in front at Bath in July. Back down to the same mark, but recent efforts have not hinted at a return to winning ways.
Won three of her first four races for this trainer, who is particularly adept with sprinters. Has shot up the handicap, though, and last two displays suggest she is in the handicapper's grip.
Four-runner handicap at Sandown in July did not take an awful lot of winning and that remains his sole success this year. Well held last time and others look more convincing.
Not at his best on recent starts, but has dropped to a mark only 1lb higher than when successful at Haydock in June. Certainly handicapped to go well if in the mood.
Two career wins came back in 2015 when trained by Richard Fahey. Has tumbled down the handicap and only run for current stable saw him shape well to finish fourth off 1lb higher. Should be competitive.
Won a Windsor maiden on his reappearance and returned to form on the latest of three runs in handicaps when runner-up at Sandown. Has gone up 3lb which gives him something to find.
Seems to prefer AW surfaces to turf these days and was well held on his last appearance on grass at Chester. Needs to show more sparkle.
Did well to land a 15-runner Doncaster handicap two starts ago, but was hit by a 7lb rise and finished last of six on his latest start. Down 4lb and slightly better ground should suit.
Last success came when he landed the second division of this contest a year ago. Now 2lb lower so clear chance on the book, but form this season has not been at the same level.
Won twice for Ed McMahon, but only start for current handler when eighth of nine at Southwell was disappointing. Hard to fancy until showing more.
Experienced sprinter who showed the fire still burns when winning on the AW at Wolverhampton in April. Well held on recent starts on turf and is opposed despite a falling handicap mark.

A wide open sprint handicap which may produce another triumph for APPLEBERRY, who won a division of this contest last year and has dropped to a mark 2lb lower. Defining Moment has been in good form, but has been hit hard by the handicapper and bigger dangers may be Signore Piccolo and Lathom. Move In Time would be a huge threat if revitalised by a change of stable.
- Appleberry
- Signore Piccolo
- Lathom
