Ran well when finishing runner-up on debut at The Curragh (5f, good-to-firm) in August and highly tried in a Group 3 contest there subsequently. One to note back in a maiden.
Unraced daughter of War Front and a full-sister to connections Listed-placed Leo Minor. Represents a leading stable today and worth a check in the market on debut.
Placed on four of her six starts to date including when a head second off a mark of 80 in a Fairyhouse (soft) nursery over this trip last month. Ran well in a maiden since and one for the shortlist today.
Unraced War Front filly out of Epsom Oaks winner Was. Represents a leading stable today and worth a check in the market on her debut.
Signs of promise when finishing 11th in an AW maiden over 7f at Dundalk last month. Tongue tie worn on that occasion is retained today.
Couple of promising efforts from four starts so far but well beaten over 1m here earlier this month. Interesting to see how she fares dropping in trip.
Held in three outings so far most recently in a Listed contest at Navan (6f, soft). Probably best watched on this occasion.
Good effort when sent off a big price prior to finishing third of 17 over 6f at Fairyhouse (yielding) last month. Return to this trip should suit having finished fifth over 5f here earlier this month.
Well beaten in two maiden races so far including in a hood (retained) over 5f at Bellewstown (good) last time out. Others make more appeal.
Sent off big prices and well beaten on both outings to date. Latest of those came over 5f here and others have a more obvious chance today.
Stepped up markedly on debut when finishing fifth over 5f on yielding ground here earlier this month. Likely needs to improve again if she's to take this.
Unraced daughter of Arcano out of 7f winner Phoebe Van Gelder. Rare two-year-old runner for a stable who are 0/4 with their youngsters in recent years.
Unraced Lope De Vega filly and a full-sister to dual winner Spanish Tenor (best on soft surfaces). Market support would be interesting on racecourse debut.
Unraced Distorted Humor filly cost $25,000 as a yearling in September last year. Dam was successful over 7f and worth a check in the market for a leading yard.
Well beaten when making her debut over an extended 6f at Limerick (heavy) last week and hard to recommend at present.
Unraced Roderic O'Connor filly and a full-sister to useful Flat handicapper Roderic O'Connor amongst others. Likely to prove better with this experience under her belt.
Forecasts
Daliyah (11/4), Dramatically (4/1), Betsey Trotter (9/2), Cheering (7/1), Darkness Falls (7/1), Julia's Magic (10/1), Encantador (14/1), Rapid Reaction (20/1), Spanish Soprano (40/1), New Vocation (40/1), Teardrop Island (50/1), Wichita Line (50/1), Venus Starr (66/1), Flamin Audi (66/1), Sarah Kate (66/1), Magsmillie (66/1)
BETSEY TROTTER ran well on debut and can be forgiven a heavy defeat when upped markedly in grade last time out. The selection should find this company more to her liking and can defeat the experienced Daliyah who can record her fifth top three finish today. The well-bred Cheering is taken to claim third on her racecourse debut.
- Betsey Trotter
- Daliyah
- Cheering
