Impressed when winning a point-to-point and related to plenty of winners. Possible he'll need a sterner test of stamina but can only benefit from this experience. Yard respected.
Went for €42,000 as a three-year-old and appeals as a likely type for a career over Jumps in due course. Stable can have one primed for a race like this, so also merits an interest if the betting vibes are positive.
Useful types to be found in his bloodlines (Max Ward and Tallyho both winners in their respective fields of combat). Noteworthy that he races in a hood on debut so best to gauge the betting market beforehand for true reflection of expectations.
Form of his debut run has subsequently been franked and this €52,000 purchase is certainly one to keep on the right side. Yard respected but quiet just now. Interesting if the betting market suggests that is about to change.
Steady if unspectacular on debut at Stratford back in April. Can only have derived benefit from that run and his yard is enjoying a good little sequence. His dam is a half-sister to a winner over hurdles, so may have more impact in that sphere.
Runner up Over C&D behind a horse of great potential on debut and, while he came up short as favourite on the day, time may tell that was a good effort. Shortlisted again this time.
Cost €30,000 as a three-year-old and has plenty of winners in his pedigree. Yard capable at this level and obvious plus points of the man in the saddle. Being out of a Supreme Leader mare, the ground should suit - a highly interesting prospect.
Makes limited appeal on pedigree and hard to see this fellow striking a blow for the smaller operations in this company.
Cost €58,000 and is out of a half-sister to the mighty Denman, so interesting to see how he fares. Unlikely to thrive over this trip, however, and other yards are more prolific in Bumpers. Pens to the ready rather than cash on this occasion.

Forecasts
Mont Des Avaloirs (4/6), Drovers Lane (4/1), Fortunes Hiding (7/1), Coolanly (15/2), Clondaw Native (8/1), Luckime (8/1), River Bray (10/1), Mahlermade (12/1), The Russian Doyen (16/1), Khage (20/1), Golden Whisky (25/1), One Leader (33/1), The Final Whistle (80/1)
Hard to escape the fact that Mont Des Avaloirs posted a solid effort on debut, which has been franked since. The four-year-old is bred to appreciate this trip and will make plenty of appeal for a saver if the odds are attractive enough. However, DROVERS LANE also appeals a likely type for a contest of this nature and has to comes into the reckoning - especially given his £135,00 price tag after winning his sole start in a point-to-point. Others worth monitoring for support include: Fortunes Hiding and Coolanly, who both represent yards that are very capable of holding their own in this type of event.
