Scrambled home at Worcester after the tank emptied in the closing stages when last seen. Had also been unconvincing in the build up to the Cheltenham Festival (went on to finish last in the Pertemps Hurdle), and faces a stiff test on these terms.

Fell at the sixth in a Grade 2 novices race at Wetherby latest , but had previously shown promise behind a decent type at Warwick. Needs to sharpen up his jumping but this looks easier and has to be considered capable in this company.

First run since being placed at the Cheltenham Festival and will find this level much more accessible. Has a bit to prove now switching to fences but gets on very well with today's rider so feasible it won't be too much of a issue. Shortlisted.

Yard won this in 2012 and has gone from strength-to-strength since then. This fellow kept mainly good company over hurdles and put up a string of consistent efforts. Likely to pay his way before long, the gelding is another to bear in mind here.

No better than mid division in a Grade 3 hurdle at Aintree when last seen and already has previous form to reverse with Coo Star Sivola, so needs to improve for the switch to fences.

The handicapper instated a steady 17lb hike up the weights during a successful spell over hurdles last season, but the mare still comes up short of the mark when compared to a couple of the others. Lots to prove now switched to fences.

Forecasts

Coo Star Sivola (5/2), Elegant Escape (11/4), Mia's Storm (9/2), Captain Chaos (9/2), Joe Farrell (17/2), Mr Mix (12/1)

Verdict

Lizzie Kelly gets the best out of COO STAR SIVOLA and the rider's affinity with the gelding will be a useful tool on this first start over fences. The partnership gets the nod as the team to be with on this occasion. None of the rest can confidently be ruled out butMr Mix, like the selection, posted a good effort at the Cheltenham Festival, then went on win over fences when last seen out, so has to be respected despite his penalty. Captain Chaos should also appreciate this ease in grade and is another to bear in mind.
  1. Coo Star Sivola
  2. Mr Mix
  3. Captain Chaos
