Has done the bulk of her winning with cut, but is clearly effective on good ground as well, as she demonstrated when out-battling her seven rivals at Uttoxeter latest (2m4f). Hit with a 7lb rise, but can still remain competitive.
Elder statesman, but he's not forgotten how to win as he demonstrated when an emphatic 14L scorer at Newton Abbot last month (2m5f good to soft). Some of those in behind (third, fifth and sixth) have franked that form, so a 9lb rise is fair.
Scored on his first two starts over fences in late 2016 (Plumpton and Lingfield), and is clearly versatile in terms of trip. However, the handicapper has hold of him now, but he should strip fitter for the run at Worcester last month.
Doesn't win all that often, but took advantage of a falling mark to score over C&D in March (soft), and backed that up with another fair effort. Up the weights now, but with a new trainer, and any market confidence should be noted.
Appreciates plenty of cut in the ground and was successful over fences from a similar mark at Warwick in December 2016 (2m4f soft). Trained off a fraction thereafter, but possibly sharper now after a summer break, so not wholly discounted.
A mixed bag over fences in three starts so far, but he did account for Bestwork by 5L over C&D in April (good to firm) and that Charlie Longsdon trained horse has won three times since. Up 4lb, and soft ground fine.
A ten race maiden over fences and whilst generally consistent has plenty to find with Moorlands Jack (despite the better terms) if judged solely on their Newton Abbot clash last month. Blinkered and tongue tied.
A dual winner over fences (in quick succession) when trained by Evan Williams back in December 2014, and rated as high as 130 by the following year, but it's been all barren lands since then. Tailed off over hurdles at Newton Abbot latest.
Has had 19 starts for various trainers without success since winning a Wincanton bumper for Philip Hobbs on debut in April 2015. Falling like a stone in the weights, but unconvincing over fences in three attempts and impossible to recommend.
Made the most of misfortune when left with a solo from the second fence at Towcester in April (3m½f good to firm). Hard to fancy on his earlier efforts, but thankfully the handicapper has opted to leave his mark unchanged for 'winning'.

Moorlands Jack is a likeable old campaigner, and he should have the measure of Third Act based upon their clash at Newton Abbot last month. That race has worked out well with the third placed Jonagold and the sixth placed Orchestrated both winners since, whilst the fifth placed horse Between The Waters went close at Sedgefield. A 9lb rise is probably fair enough, but it might just prove a couple of pounds too much in terms of his winning chances. Similar comments apply with regards the much respected top-weight Barton Rose, so a sporting chance is taken at much better odds on SEVEN KINGDOMS. He isn't the finished article over fences, but his April C&D success appears solid enough form, and he should handle any further rainfall which may arrive prior to racing.
- Seven Kingdoms
- Barton Rose
- Moorlands Jack
