Has a tremendous record here, his last four wins all being over C&D and on soft/heavy. 4lb higher today than latest of those in July and well beaten off this mark on his only run since, but back here and in a slightly lesser race he is respected.
Had put in one or two good efforts in better company during a fruitless season before coming good in a Redcar seller (1m, good to soft) last time. Confidence could be boosted by that success and if so, then he would have to be taken seriously.
This is his time of year and he returned to form with a heavy ground Chester win (7½f) two starts ago. Nudged up 3lb for that, but beaten only ½L back there last time (7f). Now up a further 1lb, but should again he competitive.
Sole turf win was on soft ground last year and she has added a Newcastle All Weather success this term. Conditions and trip no problem and she was beaten just ½L last time at Newmarket. Up 3lb for that, but should be thereabouts.
Had Ce La Vie well beaten when scoring over C&D (soft) last time out, for which he is now penalised. This is not as strong-a-race, so despite the fact that his record suggests that he will struggle to follow-up, he could make a good attempt.
Ran well on soft ground (1m1f) at Musselburgh on his first start after being gelded last month, but beaten on the All Weather and then in a stronger race back at Musselburgh on Monday. Looks better suited to this level and trip and has claims.
Scored over C&D in July when 8lb lower and went close next time under a 6lb penalty, but has been held from today's mark since and looks in need of a favour from the assessor again.
Sole success was on Newcastle's Tapeta surface in March from 6lb lower and went close there again last time from 4lb lower. Yet to win on turf, however, and has rarely threatened in recent seasons, so others preferred.
Another course specialist, with all four of her wins being here, though over 7f. Could argue that she is unexposed at this trip, having been tried just twice (at this venue), but she would need to settle better and also looks to be on a stiff mark.

Candelisa comes in form after winning a seller and he also looks to be on a decent mark, though confidence is tempered by a number of his handicapping efforts this season. A more reliable proposition looks to be topweight LE CHAT D'OR, who will need to be back to his best and that is entirely possible at this venue. The Richard Fahey-trained pair Dark Devil and Prying Pandora both have some sort of claim, while Rock N Rolla could present a big danger to the selection and Jay Kay is not dismissed out of hand.
