Bits and pieces of form give her a chance but it has already been a busy campaign for this half-sister to Santo Prince (winner over 7f and a mile) and it's likely that at least one of the less exposed rivals will have fresher legs.
Not troubled the judge in either start so far and big improvement required to even think about her making it third time lucky.
Very well-bred filly from a top yard (the mighty Goldikova locked in there as a part-blood relative). The Bolger yard has had little luck recently but can still get one ready; and certainly has a very interesting contender on their hands here.
Showed very little on debut and was already detached when pulled up at Dundalk last month, so has too many questions to answer and is best left to her own devices.
Likeable pedigree but her dam is an influence more stamina and very debatable as to whether a mile will be this filly's optimum trip.
Behind Bid Bad Sal at Galway latest and while he's respected on the pick of his form, he'll need to work hard to reverse the placings on the same terms as last time.
Not shown much so far - well held at Listowel latest and no impression from quite some way out. Possible she'll improve in time but also likely to need more distance to be seen to better effect.
Modest debut at Nass bettered slightly when a well held third of five at Listowel (Lady Evanna held in fifth). More improvement required but likely to be suited by the step up in trip. Interesting for a place at best.
Gave trouble at the start on debut; a possible reason for what was an average display. Similar ground conditions expected this time but additional furlong a possible concern (most of her relatives excelled at 7f but not so good when tried beyond).
Held by Big Bad Sal and Himmah on debut but may appreciate the extra furlong of today's challenge and could be good value for a place in the frame.
Cost just €3,000 but likely to be suited by a mile. Debut run was only modest, however, and she has a good bit more to find on a literal reading of that run.
Forecasts
Himmah (3/1), Optional Necessity (3/1), Big Bad Sal (10/3), Summer's Dream (11/2), Cimeara (10/1), Lustful (10/1), Shes Queen (12/1), Footstepinparadise (20/1), Lady Evanna (66/1), Dianthus (100/1), Chirpy (100/1)
Old rivals Big Bad Sal and Himmah set a decent enough standard and set the standard from those with experience. However, CIMEARA won't need to be anything out of the ordinary to make an immediate impact and Jim Bolger's well-bred newcomer gets a speculative nod to get off the mark at the first time of asking. She Queen has a bit to find but ran respectably on debut and could also get involved in the scrap for minor honours if suited by the additional furlong.
- Cimeara
- Big Bad Sal
- Himmah
