Generally likes to race to the fore, but inconclusive as to what exactly is his ideal trip, having mixed his races between 6f and 7f. Thereabouts (third) at Nottingham latest, and is dropped 1lb for his AW debut.
Has shown some promise, but is perhaps not the most straightforward filly. Beaten less than 3L (third) in first time cheek-pieces at Lingfield latest (retained), but stamina to prove on her first try at 7f.
Has shown a similar level of form in all three starts thus far, and makes his nursery debut from a fair mark of 64. Finished fifth to Apple Anni at Beverley latest and that form line is tested by Vera Drake in the previous race.
Produced a couple of pleasing efforts since switched to nurseries, but upped 5lb since finishing a ½L second to Crown Of Cortez over C&D last month. Likely to run another solid race.
Has form linked with Foxy Lady (Musselburgh), but went close on her latest start at Carlisle (7f heavy) last month when beaten ¾L by Powerful Society. Makes her AW debut with an excellent rider booked for the mount.
Finished just behind Claramara when fourth to Powerful Society at Carlisle last month (7f heavy), and connections now reach for the first time cheek-pieces seeking further improvement. AW debut.
Has done all of his racing at Redcar so far, and it was a surprise to see him dropped back to 5f latest. However, he's handicapped now and looks the type to do better over this trip being a brother to 7f AW winner Free Running.
Has had plenty of goes at breaking the duck, and finished a couple of places behind Foxy Lady when fourth over C&D last month. Improved upon that when stepped up to 1m subsequently, and we know he handles Tapeta effectively.
Seemingly is slightly regressive, and hasn't found his feet since switched to nurseries. However, he hails from a respected stable, and the combination of a 3lb drop in the weights and a switch to the AW could prove the catalyst for improvement.
Not looked the strongest in three starts so far, and at 120,000 gns as a yearling is looking plenty expensive enough. However, tries a new trip for her AW and nursery debut, and hopefully the application of cheek-pieces can help bring her forward.
Back-peddled since a steady start to the season, and a gelding operation has yet to bring about any significant improvement. Has showed up a fraction stronger lately (5f), but unable to sustain a winning challenge. Upped in trip for AW debut.
Pretty much all downhill since a promising start to the season (third to Cheeseandpickle here on debut over 5f in April). Dropped a further 3lb after a lacklustre effort over 1m latest, and looks risky to say the least.
Never on terms on his nursery debut at Redcar last month (6f good to soft) and looks nigh impossible to recommend on that, or any other showing, for that matter.
Beaten just one rival in four career starts, and was a tailed off last of ten on his nursery debut at Musselburgh (7f good to firm) in August. Looks a likely back number on AW debut.
Forecasts
Admiral Spice (9/2), Firby (9/2), Contribute (5/1), Foxy Lady (8/1), Claramara (8/1), Emerald Rocket (9/1), Arctic Treasure (9/1), Elysee Star (14/1), Mecca's Spirit (20/1), Peace Prevails (20/1), Rocket Man Dan (25/1), Stopwatch (40/1), Marsh Storm (40/1), Magic Ship (50/1)
Another open contest, and a race in which some of the runners are beginning to appear slightly regressive after promising starts to their careers, with the likes of Marsh Storm and Rocket Man Dan sadly falling into this category. FOXY LADY, Claramara and Admiral Spice have various bits and pieces of form which are closely aligned with one another, and despite not registering a single success between them in a combined total of 16 starts appear to be the trio to concentrate upon. Preference is for the Kevin Ryan trained runner who probably didn't endure the easiest start to her racing career (stable shutdown earlier this season), but she's steadily on the up since switched to nurseries, and could well prove the handicapper to be correct for raising her 5lb since her latest C&D second to Crown Of Cortez, by striking at the sixth attempt (second start on synthetics).
- Foxy Lady
- Admiral Spice
- Claramara
