His heavy ground nursery win at Nottingham over a mile came on his debut in that sphere off a mark of 63. Failed to build on that run off a 7lb higher mark on his next start and arguable if he needs this test of stamina.
Made a winning debut over a mile at Ripon looking as though he would be suited by further and gets that chance here having not gone on from that successful debut. Hope is that this trip will bring him back to his best and his debut form.
After two tries in handicaps he moves back to novice company here trying this trip for the first time having looked to struggle to see out a mile last time. Draw not ideal here either with the cheekpieces going on for the first time.
Two runs so far both over 7f have offered very little at Redcar and Beverley. Gelded since but would need to show an awful lot more to feature here.
Still a maiden after eight starts and his best form happened much earlier in the year and he's starting to look regressive. Well drawn here though but not an obvious candidate at this trip.
On breeding would need a trip such as this but given his first try at it last time out he continued to show little and finished well beaten. Hopes now pinned on first-time blinkers working the oracle.
Plenty of stamina in the pedigree and even though he was still green last time he shaped better than the bare result (given a negative ride) at Kempton Park over a mile. He remains with potential and if can adapt to this surface he's a leading player.
Made an interesting debut at Thirsk when claimer ridden over 6f and looked to have plenty to work with finishing off the race well having started slowly. Given a very tough second outing but if staying this trip he would be of interest here given that initial run.
Too green to show anything on his debut he looked to have failed to learn anything from his debut when running over 1m1f at Musselburgh. Plenty of temperament in the pedigree and one to be wary of.
The only debutante in the field there is stamina in the pedigree although the trainer has only had a couple juvenile winners this season and may be best watched for now.

Forecasts
Eyecatcher (6/4), Austrian School (10/3), Dontgiveuponbob (5/1), Kannapolis (8/1), Hemingford (8/1), Bombshell Bay (20/1), Making Miracles (33/1), Dicktation (33/1), Duggary (50/1), East Wind (50/1), Charming Power (100/1)
If EYECATCHER can make the transition to turf from the AW then he looks the most interesting of these given his run last time out when he looked to be crying out for this trip. Austrian School has always looked in need of this trip but hasn’t really built on his initial effort and hopes for improvement are pinned on this trip. Hemmingford has to give weight to the entire field and that gives him a tough task with Dontgiveuponbob looking as though what progress he had in him has stalled. Kannapolis has much more chance today than he did a York last time and is better judged on his opening performance at Thirsk which suggested longer trips would be to his advantage.
- Eyecatcher
- Kannapolis
- Austrian School
