Tailed off when last seen at Newcastle on the AW. Previously handled AW so such a run hard to explain especially as he had been running well before that.

Ran well in last four races and has steadily crept up to today's career high mark as a result. Won over C&D on good to firm in August but also won on soft and should give a solid account again.

Yet to win in 30 plus starts for current yard. Often travels well but finds little as shown by his hat-trick of seconds in the summer. Slightly below par latest but no surprise if he is in the first three again here.

Doesn't mind soft conditions, although a sound/fast surface appears to be his preference. Won here off 1lb higher last year but looks to be slowing down now.

Lone win came on AW and he has run on that last three times. Not disgraced when last seen on turf off this mark placing here and at Ayr. Not obviously well handicapped but few of these are.

Not disgraced in just two starts this summer after a busy AW campaign. Prefers quick ground so likely conditions here a concern.

Maiden of six starts up to 7f for first time. Stayed on like she would appreciate further a couple of times over 5f before disappointing latest. Turf form probably better than AW so not out of this if she stays.

Favourite but well beaten fourth over C&D last time behind runaway winner. Several good efforts this season including a win at Chepstow but last two runs been a bit below par.

Her only win came on the AW at Newcastle over 7f having failed miserably on her handicap debut the time before. Her form in handicaps since has been rather lacklustre and even this mark looks a little too much for her.

100/1 and beaten 27L in a four runner maiden last time out. Better chance off such a low handicap mark but honestly seen little to suggest she can win a race.

Coral Princess58

Lone placed effort came over 1m1f here and generally looked better over such distances. Hard to make a strong case for her even off bottom weight.

Forecasts

My Girl Maisie (5/2), Danot (10/3), Jack Blane (13/2), Boogie Babe (15/2), Harbour Patrol (10/1), Coral Princess (11/1), Tanawar (14/1), Circuitous (16/1), Thorntoun Lady (20/1), Peny Arcade (25/1), Irvine Lady (33/1)

Verdict

MY GIRL MAISIE has been running consistently well and with uncertainty over the ground it is reassuring that she handles soft and good going equally. Boogie Babe is perhaps the most intriguing runner here now upped in trip and representing top connections. Danot is a frustrating runner given his tendency to find little off the bridle but there is no doubt he is capable of going close off this mark.
  1. My Girl Maisie
  2. Boogie Babe
  3. Danot
