After two moderate runs in bumpers, he makes his debut over hurdles. Hard to get enthusiastic about, but hails from a good yard and may do better now switched to timber.
Two outings in point-to-points preceded a fair run when third of 10 in a bumper at Aintree. First run for respected trainer and worth a second glance in the betting.

12/1
Bumper winner who was brought down at this track on his hurdling debut before finishing a well-beaten fourth of 12 on his return to the course. Open to improvement, but others make more appeal.
5

Promise in all three runs in bumpers, although he was beaten at odds-on in the last of them. Should do better now he is hurdling and any market support would make him interesting.

Has shown little in six starts over hurdles and has been pulled up in the last two of them. Hard to make any sort of case for him.

13/8
Irish import who has run in seven bumpers without success, but has shown some ability. Probably best watched on his hurdling debut for his new stable.

Won one of his four bumpers and was by no means disgraced when third of six on his hurdling debut at Warwick. Entitled to improve for the experience and is not without hope.
9
Horse silk
11/2
Fair middle-distance performer on the Flat. Makes his hurdling debut for his respected yard and is fitted with cheekpieces he wore on his last two starts on the level.
Connections went to £30,000 to buy this daughter of Milan after she won an Irish point-to-point in April. Obviously has a future, but trainer not known for rattling in the winners this early in the core jumps season.

Forecasts

Truckers Lodge (5/4), Now Mcginty (13/8), Longhousesignora (5/1), The Twisler (11/2), Dusty Pearl (6/1), Hands Of Stone (8/1), Oski (11/1), Fisherman Frank (12/1), Diamant de L'Ouest (66/1), Choix De L'amour (66/1), Luca Brazi (200/1)

Verdict

Longhousesignora did not cost a fortune considering she won her only point-to-point, but she is in good hands and looks one for the future. On this occasion, though, she may have to play second fiddle to TRUCKERS LODGE, who is also a point-to-point winner and showed a good deal of talent when winning a Chepstow bumper. The Twisler and Hands Of Stone are also worth considering.
  1. Truckers Lodge
  2. Longhousesignora
  3. Hands Of Stone
