Just the one maiden victory to his name, hinted at a revival last time out when beaten only 2L in a good Chester handicap. Slipping down the handicap and can't be ruled out, though still carries top weight.
Has finished behind a couple of these in his last two runs off a mark than may be too high for him, put in two off the better performances of his career prior to that and needs a return to that kind of form here.
Has dealt well with a new career-high handicap mark in his last few runs having won a better race than this at the Curragh in July. One to consider here following that performance.
Winner of a Fairyhouse maiden two starts ago over 7f, form figures of 05 over this trip and much more needed now on ground that may be softer than ideal.
Not at his best at Roscommon last time out when well-beaten but didn't get an ideal run that day; in good form prior to that but still 7lb higher than at the time of his last win two starts ago.
Has just a maiden victory to her name at this stage, playing mostly minor roles in her recent races. Unlikely to have the pace required for this shorter trip.
Sets the standard on a close third in a valuable handicap last time out. Races off the same mark here and every chance that he can get his head back in front.
No win since August 2015 but has shown indications of a revival on a couple of occasions this year, ground versatile but needs to put in one of his better efforts here off what should be a workable mark.
Hasn't built on a Down Royal maiden victory from last year so far this season, putting in a couple of good efforts early in the season but disappointing the last twice. Trip/ground fine but a return to his best form needed.
Good enough to beat most of these on his best form, but not so good so far this year and wouldn't want too much rain as most of his best form is on quick ground.
Dead-heated for first in a Tipperary maiden last time when the drop to the minimum trip clearly suited. Improvement needed here but lightly raced and unexposed over this distance.
Lightly-raced type who ran well on handicap debut at Fairyhouse last time out following a Down Royal maiden victory. Much less exposed than most of these and holds claims if taking another step forward.
C&D winner who was racing from out of the handicap when not disgraced at Naas last time out. In good form prior to that but probably doesn't want it too testing here.
Was promising as a two-year-old but has failed to build on that; better when beaten only a length at Navan two starts ago but form generally too patchy to trust.
Eight-race maiden who always seems to run his race but has been short of the level required both in maidens and handicap company. Probably looking at placing at best here, but is starting to look favourably treated.
Finished last of all in a big field handicap at Naas last time. Lost her action on that occasion and so that run can be forgiven, but a 13lb higher mark than when last winning Roscommon remains a big ask.
Seems to have struggled with a revised handicap the last twice having been put up 10lb for a victory at the Curragh in August. Down just 1lb here and probably needs more help from the assessor before being seriously considered.
Forecasts
Hushing (6/1), Enter The Red (7/1), Taexali (7/1), Accalia (8/1), Polly Douglas (8/1), Focus Of Attention (9/1), Ice Cold In Alex (10/1), Bubbly Bellini (12/1), Sweetest Taboo (14/1), Ducky Mallon (14/1), Sahreej (14/1), Independence Day (16/1), Truffles (20/1), Aspen Belle (20/1), Slumming Angel (25/1), A Few Dollars More (25/1), Guardia Svizzera (25/1)
ENTER THE RED returned to form with a very good third in a Naas handicap last time out on soft ground. Having been unlucky in his previous races he should be able to build on that result and get his head back in front here, with 6f suiting him just as well as the minimum trip. He should be able to see off Ice Cold In Alex, who has been running well off a high mark recently, and top weight Taexali.
- Enter The Red
- Ice Cold In Alex
- Taexali
