Effective at a modest level under both codes but not won over hurdles since May 2013. Big leap of faith required but he at least has his ground and this isn't a very strong contest, so has to merit a check in the betting.
Blasted away a few cobwebs with a sound effort at this course last time out. That was his first run for a year but he could prove to be well placed if he can use it as a platform.
The market spoke and he delivered at Sedgefield on Tuesday. Very interesting despite the 7lb penalty, as he is open to a little improvement in handicaps and may well be up to the task. Place claims at least.
Form figures very poor and failed to complete more times than he's got round of late. Readily opposable in his current form.
Yet to be tried on anything other than testing ground but has very few miles on the clock and is unexposed for a weak handicap such as this. Interesting if the market is positive.
Not much worthwhile recent form to crow about and hard to see him repeating last year's win at Wetherby despite nearing a winning mark.
Encouraging signs last time out and worth another try over this sort of trip. Tongue tie on for the first time, so another whose chances may be best reflected by any moves in the market.
Decent in point-to-points and notable his yard has won with two if its last four runners prior to today (also run Wisty earlier on the card though). Improvement required but the step up in trip will help. Another to monitor closely.
Off since August 2015 before three starts this year. Pulled up in each of them and the case to look elsewhere is very compelling.
Poor form figures, even when he has managed to complete, and easy to overlook even at this lowly level.
Still a maiden but posted a better effort last time. Even so, she has form to reverse with Romulus Du Donjon and needs everything to go her way.
Decent form at this sort of level back in the mists of time but present day profile leaves a lot to be desired and is probably best left alone from out of the handicap.

Betancourt (7/4), Romulus Du Donjon (11/2), Just Chilly (7/1), Chapel Stile (9/1), Bocasien Desbois (9/1), Topham Bay (10/1), Call The Cops (12/1), Maoi Chinn Tire (14/1), Lowcarr Motion (16/1), The Last Leg (28/1), Benny's Secret (33/1), Cully Mac (66/1), Jewellery (100/1)
The quick reappearance of BETANCOURT is a tempting proposition and he certainly won't need to be far ahead of the assessor to shrug off a penalty against this calibre of opponent. The section was strongly backed at Sedgefield earlier in the week, so it may be prudent to take a quick check on the betting to guage whether today's extra distance is excepted to be anything of an issue. Chapel Stile is unexposed and also merits consideration if support backs up his claims. Bocasien Desbois represents a yard in from and like Topham Bay, he could easily make the frame in this company.

- Chapel Stile
