Glimpses of promise shown in three maidens on turf over 7f/1m and could have more to offer now switching to nursery for AW bow.

Fair maiden performer and beaten 2½L in fifth of 13 on recent nursery bow at Salisbury (7f, good). Entitled to be in the mix if taking to artificial surface.

Last two outings have brought narrow defeats in nurseries over 1m on turf and AW, visor is added now and likely to make breakthrough soon.

Disappointing on first try over this trip in nursery bow at Pontefract nine days ago. That was on heavy ground so can be given a second chance on AW bow having shown potential previously in maidens.

Not shown a great deal in three maidens on turf thus far but an improved showing on handicap/AW bow cannot be ruled out.

Made up some promising ground late on in nursery bow at Salisbury (7f, good) last month. Room for improvement now tackling this surface for the first time.

Attempted to make all over 6f here in nursery debut four weeks ago, eventually fading to finish fifth. Significantly up in trip this time, remains with plenty potential.

Winner on nursery bow at Ffos Las (7½f, good to soft) in August and solid showing since at Kempton over 7f carrying 6lb penalty when second. Up another 4lb for this longer trip but capable of improving again and one of the more likely winners.

Thrice-raced maiden who didn't offer much on AW bow at Newcastle last month over a mile having gone off a 50/1 chance. Has work to do on handicap bow.

Ran poor race in 7f Kempton nursery last month having been supported in the betting. Won't get any easier carrying an extra 5lb now.

Some promising form over 6f on turf, handled AW a bit better last time at Kempton but perhaps best watched tackling this longer trip for the first time.

Filly was beaten 8L in a 7f nursery at Kempton 10 days ago on first AW start. Second runner for Hannon team here and perhaps stable second string too.

£45,000 juvenile, who has hardly made much of an impact in three starts to date (all over 7f). This company appears more realistic and this faster racing surface might be more suitable than he's encountered on turf. First-time cheekpieces added.

Forecasts

Data Protection (3/1), Far Dawn (5/1), Tiny Tempest (13/2), Shootingthe Breeze (13/2), Affluence (8/1), Gold Eagle (14/1), Sotomayor (14/1), Barefoot Baby (16/1), Mouchee (20/1), Courteous Crown (20/1), The Night King (22/1), Amazing Rock (25/1), The Fettler (66/1)

Verdict

DATA PROTECTION is improving currently and did about as well as could be expected last time at Kempton. He was carry a 6lb penalty for a win at Ffos Las there and was held up, forcing to him to make up plenty ground on a winner that made every yard of the running. With a prominent positon, he can resume winning way in this. Far Dawn looks the big danger, having twice settled for second in this sphere already, he'll surely make his mark sooner rather than later. Tiny Tempest and Barefoot Baby are worth considering for place money.
