Seven wins from 15 career starts and won in Listed company at Salisbury last year but has drawn a blank this campaign. Has been below form on his last couple of runs. Would be in with a shout if he returns to form; wears first-time blinkers.

Group 3 winner in 2016 and nearly followed up in an Italian Group 1. Not quite at his best this year but better effort when placed at Newmarket last time and this is easier. Brings the best form into the race and won't mind cut in the ground.

Habitual front-runner who has been in good form this year, winning at Newmarket in August before a respectable effort when fourth of 13 at Ascot last time. More needed here though and very best efforts have come over 6f.

Wore blinkers (retained) for the first time when a shock winner of a valuable contest over this trip at Ascot on good to soft ground in July. Similar ground expected today and worth a go up at this level with more improvement possible.

Useful when trained by John Gosden but yet to score for this yard and largely struggling in handicaps on recent starts. Needs first-time cheekpieces to bring about a career best.

Newmarket winner in 2016 and ran well on return to action at Haydock last time when runner-up in a conditions race. This is tougher, but he's been given time to recover from that run and he's less exposed than many of his rivals; interesting runner.

Won three of his four starts to date and back to form at Doncaster last time after disappointing in a French Group 3. No surprise he steps back up in class and proven in the likely conditions so can't be ruled out with more improvement probable.

Redcar maiden winner on third run but struggled on two subsequent starts, including when 11/8fav for a Class 4 Handicap at Sandown last month. Looks out of her depth in this company but interesting she was the subject of market support last time.

Got off the mark at the fifth attempt at Newcastle earlier in the campaign and she has been holding her form well since, including when recording a win at Chester in July. This is much tougher though and likely to struggle.

Forecasts

Lahore (2/1), Jallota (11/4), Yattwee (11/4), Jordan Sport (12/1), Don't Touch (12/1), Stamp Hill (14/1), Von Blucher (33/1), Rutherford (50/1), Caridade (100/1)

Verdict

While Lahore is clearly an exciting prospect who represents a trainer and jockey who have a fine record when combining, preference is for JALLOTA. Charlie Hills' six-year-old is sure to appreciate this drop back in class and is taken to land his first win of the year after several respectable efforts at Group level. Godolphin won this contest last year and Yattwee gives them a strong hand in this year's renewal, having shown no ill effects from over a year off the track last time out.
  1. Jallota
  2. Lahore
  3. Yattwee
