Not won since rattling off a hat-trick over the winter of 2013/14 and yet to win in 18 turf starts on the Flat. One of her best efforts did come in this race last year but 1lb higher this time around and she was last of 10 last time out.
Won this race last year and returned to form with a good effort here last time when not beaten far into fourth. Wants fast ground to be seen at her best so she won't want any rain and she looks a little vulnerable off 2lb higher this time.
Started the turf season in fine form winning back to back races but handicapper has seemingly caught up with her and she was well beaten on her last couple of starts. Unproven in softer ground and others arrive with stronger claims.
Winner at York earlier in the campaign but well beaten over C&D in a Listed contest last time when seventh of 14. May not have enjoyed the ground that day but this is easier and she's unexposed.
Only one win from 20 starts on the Flat and that came on her debut. On a fair mark on the pick of her form and gets a useful 3lb claimer in the saddle but she's hard to fancy given her overall record.
Has proved progressive this season, winning four of her last six starts and just failed to get up when second of nine over C&D here last time. First-time cheekpieces could eke out more improvement and booking of this jockey a plus.
Won twice last year but she's endured an interrupted career this time around and returns from another absence here. Probably the second string on jockey bookings and has a bit to prove at present having been well beaten on her last three runs.
Completed a hat-trick at Goodwood back in June but has been a beaten favourite on four subsequent outings. Arrives on a career high mark here but step back up in trip should suit and she's run well with cut in the ground before.
Just one win from 10 career starts and can compromise her chances by racing keenly. Not discounted if first-time hood has the desired effect but she's a risky proposition and her sole win came on fast ground.
Two wins from 20 starts and as inconsistent as that record suggests. Unplaced on latest three runs and while her mark is fair if she's on a going day, there's likely to be others better handicapped.
Forecasts
Cribbs Causeway (5/2), White Chocolate (4/1), Ebbesbourne (9/2), Curlew River (13/2), Elysian Fields (9/1), Teofonic (10/1), Jelly Monger (16/1), Jive Talking (16/1), Groovejet (20/1), Saumur (33/1)
CRIBBS CAUSEWAY is clearly going the right way and the first-time cheekpieces could see her improve further as she aims to get her fifth win of the season on the board. Ebbesbourne is less exposed than most and can't be ruled out if she returns to the form that saw her win at York earlier in the season. White Chocolate ought to enjoy the step back up in trip and all three of her wins on turf came with cut in the ground so she won't mind any rain that may arrive.
- Cribbs Causeway
- Ebbesbourne
- White Chocolate
