Unraced Dubai Destination gelding whose dam (Drain Hopper) was a Point-to-Point and 2m4f hurdle winner. €3,000 foal (£1,600 juvenile).

Unraced first foal by Beat All out of the consistent middle distance mare Granny McPhee. Stable rarely saddle a jumps runner and interesting to see whether or not this youngster attracts any market support.

Zoltan Varga
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: G Lee| T: M R Channon
3/1
Unraced eighth foal by Sayif out of Mar Blue (a winner over 1m1f). A half-brother to bumper/2m hurdle winner Mr Kite, this gelding has a talented and experienced rider booked to take the mount.
Unraced first foal by So You Think out of Sinndarina (a French 1m1f to 1m4f winner). Her trainer would be an infrequent visitor to this track, but presumably tempted by the combination of a Flat track and decent ground.
Unraced filly by Peintre Celebre out of Ex Gracia. Picked up cheaply as a juvenile (£2,500), this second foal is a half-sister to 6f winner Questo.
Unraced fourth foal by Turgeon out of a talented French 2m2f Listed hurdle winner Baraka Du Berlais. She's a half-sister to the smart hurdler Let's Dance and bumper winner Lad of Luck.

Horse silk
100/1
Unraced fourth foal by Rock Of Gibraltar out of Bright Enough who cost 4,800 gns as a yearling. A half-sister to a couple winners including Pack Leader (1m2f) and Russet (7f).
Unraced High Chaparral filly out of Rainbow Queen, this eighth foal is a half-sister to winners Quixote (1m2f-1m4f) and Sir Isaac (7f). Interesting jockey booking.

Age: 3|  Weight: 10-5| J: J M Quinlan| T: Miss A Murphy
25/1
Unraced Casamento filly who is closely related to 1m4f AW winner Cerutty. Wears the hood on debut, and only really one to take any note of if the market says so.

Gibeno (9/4), Zoltan Varga (3/1), Queen Montoya (7/1), King Cnut (7/1), I Care Des Sources (11/1), Cuckoo's Calling (16/1), Normal Norman (20/1), Gamekeeper Bill (20/1), Cloud Hopper (20/1), Shaella (25/1), Gracie Stansfield (50/1), Speedy Gonzalez (50/1), Lots Ov (100/1)

Verdict

A field of newcomers, so not exactly the kind of contest that punters should attack with any urgency. Connections and jockey bookings are generally most relevant in these type of events, but unfortunately the market tends to reflect that fact. Graham Lee continues to ride in bumpers, and he is an eye-catching booking for Zoltan Varga, whilst Nico De Boinville is also noteworthy aboard Queen Montoya. Gibeno is likely to figure prominently in the betting, with the Skelton stable continuing in excellent shape and he should be thereabouts, but a chance is taken on the Jonjo O'Neill trained I CARE DES SOURCES. She has an attractive pedigree, and could seek to take advantage of the weight that she receives from the others with Killian Moore taking off another useful 3lb.
  1. I Care Des Sources
  2. Gibeno
  3. Zoltan Varga
