Kodiac colt who cost 105,000gns as a yearling, a half-brother to Listed winner Al Aasifh. Has been subject to positive reports from his trainer and has plenty of speed in his pedigree.
Well-beaten on debut at Thirsk last time out over this trip; every chance this will be less competitive but he needs to leave that run behind him in order to figure on this second start.
Intikhab colt who cost £50,000 as a two-year-old and who is fitted with a hood for this debut. Related to a few juvenile winners but still liable to need the experience of this first run.
Last of six on debut at Brighton in June. Should be able to put in a more accomplished performance here (he started his race poorly that day), but still seems likely to come up short.
Made a promising debut over C&D in May for a top trainer; off since but needs considering given she should be able to progress from that, though the lay-off is a minor concern.
Unlucky yet to get off the mark and has already shown herself to be capable of performing at this level. Faces a few unknown quantities here but a repeat of her best form to date could well be enough.
Yet to beat a horse home in two starts and sent off a very large price on both occasions; looks set for another minor role here.
Pulled up after losing her action on debut at Windsor in June. Needs to bounce back from that now down in trip and wasn't particularly well-fancied on that occasion.
Bated Breath filly who cost 15,000gns as a two-year-old; first foal of an unraced dam, but she has some fair relations herself and this yard doesn't have the worst record with its juveniles.
Forecasts
Kodiac Express (3/1), Cowboy Soldier (3/1), Alba Del Sole (7/2), Kodi Beach (9/2), Rivendicato (7/1), National Anthem (20/1), Spenny's Lass (33/1), Prime Chief (50/1), Night Air (200/1)
This can go to KODIAC EXPRESS. In a field where most of the contenders either have plenty to prove or are uninspiring newcomers, this filly has shown she can go very close in this sort of company (and stronger in some cases), and a repetition of her best form should be enough to see her get off the mark here. Cowboy Soldier, another of Kodiac's progeny, interests most of the newcomers while Alba Del Sole is respected on her second start having run a fair race on debut over C&D back in May.
- Kodiac Express
- Cowboy Soldier
- Alba Del Sole
