Gumball157
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: R Johnson| T: P Hobbs & J White
4/9
Seen just once in France when taking third place in a newcomers race at Dieppe (first two have done little for the form) now makes his GB debut for a new yard. Looks to have improvement in him though for a powerful yard.
2
Horse silk
66/1
Makes his first start over hurdles having been fairly modest on the Flat when trained by Tim Easterby. Best form on the Flat came over a mile and has to prove his stamina for hurdling.
3
Horse silk
33/1
Winner on the Flat when with Mark Johnston over 1m2f before starting his hurdling career. So far his form in this sphere hasn't looked anything like he was capable of on the Flat though and best watched here.
4
Horse silk
The Batham Boyp44
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: L Heard| T: D M Loughnane
100/1
Makes his hurdling debut after showing only poor form on the Flat for this yard over distances up to 1m6f. Given his Flat form he makes little appeal even in this weak event.
5
Horse silk
8/1
Ran on the Flat for this yard (maiden in that sphere) but looked as though he could have a future over hurdles having shown some promise on his second start over obstacles. May do better still and could put his experience to good use.
6
Horse silk
Kiruna Peakt22
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-5| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien
3/1
Won on the Flat when he was with Mick Channon (stayed well) and showed that he had ability in over hurdles when a runner-up on debut (just in front of Tidal Watch) and may well do better with that under his belt.

Forecasts

Gumball (4/9), Kiruna Peak (3/1), Tidal Watch (8/1), Il Sicario (33/1), He's A Toff (66/1), The Batham Boy (100/1)

Verdict

There look to be only three that count in this weak juvenile hurdle with Gumball the likely market leader but his French form wasn’t that exciting and it may well be that the two that met last time Tidal Watch and KIRUNA PEAK can take advantage. The latter is given nod on the back of his second here last time out and a repeat of that may well be good enough for him to open his hurdling account.
  1. Kiruna Peak
  2. Tidal Watch
  3. Gumball
