Was starting to look a frustrating sort (runner-up four times this year) before he struck with a clear-cut victory last time out over C&D on stamina sapping ground. Got a good ride that day and won't be worried by conditions here and respected.
On a long losing run but has run well here on a few occasions and none more so than when placed here last time and he looks to be holding his form well despite the lack of a win. Outside draw isn't ideal though.
Has shown a real resurgence of form since joining this yard and scored emphatically at Catterick last time out taking the race by the scruff of the neck early on. Given a 10lb rise for that win but very dangerous if getting away on the lead again.
Found his way back to winning form here last time out and has been given a 2lb rise for that. Conditions won't be a worry but he can take time to warm to his task and that may well leave him with an uphill task in a tougher race this time.
His last outing came in the 2014 Chester Cup when he was with Ian Williams (finished down the field) on his second GB start. He would look well handicapped on his useful French form but how much ability he retains is open to debate.
Scored in a Lingfield handicap in June finally adding to his juvenile success on his final start for his old stable. Hasn't shown the same sort of form for his new yard however and will need to show more along with his two stablemates to take this.
The handicapper continues to relent and the feeling is that if he continues to do this he'll be able to take advantage soon (10lb below last winning mark). Needs to up his game and work to do with Kajaki but impossible to rule out given his mark.
Not got that many runs to his name and won a couple of races on the AW when he was with Ralph Beckett but hasn't really shown any progress for his new yard in two runs. Now tries a new trip and given the grade has plenty to prove.
Looked as though her Leicester win in July might provide a breakthrough but she's failed to make any progress and continues to find life tough in handicaps. Handles this sort of ground but others have shown more and are preferred.

Kajaki (2/1), Brandon Castle (11/4), Always Resolute (6/1), Gabrial's Star (7/1), Angel Gabrial (15/2), Amelia Dream (9/1), Arty Campbell (10/1), Omotesando (12/1), Viserion (14/1), Plymouth Sound (20/1), Golden Bowl (25/1), Earthly (40/1)
Both Kajaki and Brandon Castle got the run of the race last time out the latter especially when he was allowed to poach a big lead at Catterick and coasted home in the end although the handicapper has taken punitive action for that win and that big rise in the weights may anchor him here. Gabrial's Star needs to show more but is becoming very well handicapped and will be hard to ignore but ALWAYS RESOLUTE probably appeals the most here. His run last time out at Haydock Park was a good effort and an improvement on his comeback run and this ground, track and trip should hold no fears.
- Always Resolute
- Brandon Castle
- Kajaki
