Already the winner of a nursery at Ascot in the summer the three non-runners will make it easier from his wide draw but he has been beaten soft ground before. Blinkers now go on for the first time after he faced tough tasks on his last two starts.

Been highly tried of late contesting three Group races (fifth in the Norfolk Stakes his best effort) and has coped with soft ground before in his earlier races. Now reverts to handicaps which look more his mark and must be respected here.

His latest start probably highlights his chance having run well in a valuable sales race at Doncaster when finishing close-up to the principles.. Had earlier made a winning debut at York over 6f on good to soft and has run some other sound races.

Not ideally drawn for his handicap debut as he bids to build on his Haydock Park win last time out when he won from the front travelling well all the way. Would have some claims on that run but does have to cope with more testing conditions now.

Her overall record now reads 0/7 and although she has finished runner-up on a couple of occasions and she's been highly tried a couple of times she is essentially exposed. Should have run better last time out and best watched for now.

Very much improved on his second run at Leicester in May but has really failed to spark since then although he was a close fourth on his nursery debut at Haydock Park. Disappointed at Bath last time and now back from a break that may have refreshed.

Ripon has proved to be a happy hunting ground for this one given that he's won there over 6f and also run well there under a penalty for that win. Gelded since his nursery debut at Pontefract (last of six) he returns now after a break.

Verdict

Three non-runners and three out of the handicap might make this tricky looking contest look a little bit easier and there's no doubt now that Richard Fahey holds a strong hand in this with the dropped in class IT DON'T COME EASY looking the one to side with over Zap. The former broke the track record for juveniles at Musselburgh earlier in the year but won't be doing so here given the conditions and the latter looks as though he will be competitive despite his mark looking only reasonable. Ginbar enters the argument if he handles conditions but the draw does make life a little more difficult and it may well be that Collingham Park and June Dog can find some form after a break having disappointed on their most recent starts.
