Took advantage of a good opportunity at Listowel latest, but better form came at Roscommon in June. Stays very well and the more rain the better, so obvious chances of following up.
Hard to knock some of his recent chase efforts and although he's finding it hard to actually force his head in front, he sets the standard on his last three efforts. However, still a slight question mark over the trip, especially if it turns soft,.
Bred to make a decent chaser and connections haven't wasted much time getting him over fences. Fair form so far and step up to 3m ought to suit. Ground shouldn't be a problem either, so has to be given a chance.
On the plus side, has won here and acts on soft ground, but a bit late in the day to be going over fences and is pretty well exposed over hurdles. Others preferred.
Yet to win over fences after ten starts over them, but only narrowly denied at Killarney in June and that form would give him a solid chance. Worry would be the ground, as best form arguably on good, so needs rain to stay away.
You have to go back to 2014 to find his last win, which is a concern, but he has some solid efforts over fences to his name this season. Seems to act on most ground and place chances again here at worst.
Exposed as moderate over hurdles and needs the switch to fences to have a big impact if he's to get involved here.
Forecasts
A Sizing Network (2/1), Sir Abbot (9/4), Burndown (5/1), Une Lavandiere (7/1), Na Trachtalai Abu (7/1), Cloudy Morning (20/1), The Ballyboys (50/1)
A Sizing Network looks the one to beat on current form but there are a couple of questions hanging over his head regarding the suitability of conditions today, and maybe BURNDOWN will be able to take advantage. This step up in trip ought to be a positive and he's taken to come out on top. Une Lavandiere and Sir Abbot can scrap it out for thrd.
