Indifferent on turf but clearly likes it here after making it 2 from 2 when scoring comfortably from the front in a 7f event here last month. Plenty to like but back down in trip and will face competition for the lead.

Expensive purchase at £280,000 but didn't get off the mark until the fourth attempt when comfortably landing a novice event at Bath over an extended 5f (good). This much tougher but looks feasibly handicapped for his AW debut.

Just the one win (5f, good to firm) but not disgraced in the face of some tough assignments and doesn't look badly handicapped on his best form. That said, yet to produce the goods over this 6f trip.

Plenty of promise shown first time out when just touched off in a Newmarket maiden over 6f but two subsequent efforts have been underwhelming. No easy task on his nursery debut from the widest draw.

Fast-breaking filly who has fared much better on AW than turf, winning for the third time when scoring over 6f at Wolverhampton last month. Couldn't quite last home in a 7f conditions event here last time but more in favour now.

Finally successful over an extended 5f at Bath (firm) in June (fifth start) and not beaten far in two subsequent handicaps over 6f on turf. Likely to remain competitive at this level but vulnerable to improvers.

Well-bred and expensive colt (£190,000) who won first time out at Beverley (5f, good to firm) but hasn't quite kicked on from that in three subsequent starts. That said, potentially well-treated if rediscovering his early sparkle.

Yet to run a bad race in four starts, only overhauled late for the second time in succession when a close third over 6f at Lingfield last time. Mark looks a fair one but wide draw doesn't help his cause.

Successful on his first two starts, including dead-heating with Benadalid at Newcastle in June (6f). However, he has found life more challenging in nursery company since and others look more persuasive.

Has withstood plenty of racing this year to win four times, most recently over 5f on this track last month (5lb lower mark). Handicapper has held sway since then, however, and he looks vulnerable once again.

Justified heavy support on his debut at York (6f, good) but has seemingly gone backwards since, finishing down the field in a first-time hood at Wolverhampton latest. Still early days though and worth a look returned to 6f for his nursery debut.

Formerly with Simon Crisford, he has improved in each run for this yard, culminating in a novice stakes win at Chester (6f, heavy). Very different conditions for his nursery/AW debut but opening mark looks workable.

Verdict

A really competitive nursery in which there will be plenty of competition for the lead which may just compromise the chances of Joe's Spirit who was able to dictate matters when scoring impressively over 7f here last month. The trailblazing Amazing Alice is likely to be thereabouts after not quite getting home over 7f last time but, with so much early pace on, the race could be set up for handicap debutant YAFTA who got his act together when scoring at Bath recently. Fellow expensive purchases Ghayadh and Moseeb are also respected.
