Yet to break his duck over fences despite six previous attempts, but came closest to making the most of a falling mark when beaten 1¾L by Court Dismissed at Worcester in late July (2m7f good). Raised 2lb since.

Successful over 3m+ on heavy ground at Ayr in January (made all) and is steadily building a consistent profile. Finished 5½L third to Boric in the Highlands National in March, and needs a similar showing off a break from a joint career high mark.

A six time winner over fences (three for current connections), but not since July 2016 (C&D soft). Falling in the weights and ran okay when beaten 6L by Tickenwolf at Hexham (3m heavy) recently, but that didn't appear to be an overly strong contest.

Joined this stable after winning a 3m (soft) Lemonfield Irish Point-to-Point in March 2015, but was slow to make his mark until winning at Bangor last November. Just one start since, but only 3lb higher and improvement possible now tongue tied.

15 race maiden who is relatively new to the yard (formerly with Pat Griffin). Effectively third best in the infamous void race here 'won' by subsequent Kelso scorer Red Giant. More required.

Forecasts

Ballypoint (7/4), Landmeafortune (9/4), Moorstown (4/1), Presented (11/2), Here Comes Love (18/1)

Verdict

It isn't beyond the realms of possibility that Moorstown could return much stronger now fitted with a tongue tie, and just 3lb higher than when winning at Bangor in November 2016 is handicapped to run very well if fully fit and ready to do himself justice, with the market probably the best guide to his chances. However, LANDMEAFORTUNE could prove tough too pass if given a positive forcing ride by Ross Chapman. The Martin Todhunter trained eight-year-old gelding races from a joint career high mark today, but is steadily building a consistent profile, and demonstrated that he has stamina aplenty when finishing third behind Boric and Mister Don in the Highlands National (3m6f) here in April.
  1. Landmeafortune
  2. Moorstown
  3. Ballypoint
