15/8
Has been on the go for a fair while now having taken a division of the Brocklesby way back in April on his debut. He's failed to really build on that and win again and failed to stay 7f last time out and now reverts to his winning distance.

Stable have had some two-year-old winners this season and this one cost €22,000 as a yearling and is a brother to a juvenile 5f winner in Nagham. Probably best watched on his debut unless the market speaks for him.

Looks to have a bit to prove on his body of work so far with the best of his runs coming at Thirsk over 5f. Not really gone on from that run although he was highly tried on his penultimate run when 100/1 and harshly treated on nursery debut last time.

Looked the sort to progress having shown promise on his debut but that progress hasn't materialised and now with a different yard he needs to bounce back. Failed to stay 6f last time out and a return to 5f will suit him and not ruled out here.

In two runs so far she's looked badly in need of the experience having started as a 50/1 shot both times. Not much encouragement to be found in either run and best watched for now.

Tarnhelm24

Looked sharp on her debut over 6f at Goodwood taking the runner-up slot after leading for much of the race. Brought back to 5f for her second start her form failed to match that of her debut with the trip looking too sharp..

Forecasts

Requinto Dawn (15/8), Weeton (3/1), Mr Greenlight (4/1), Tarnhelm (9/2), Scenic River (9/1), Joe Cable (20/1), Little Red Berry (50/1)

Verdict

The form of some of these so far has some question marks against it and Tarnhelm is one who looks to need further although the stuff finish may well help offset what looks to be a lack of pace. Both Requinto Dawn and Weeton have form which says they can win this but neither offers much value. Of the Tim Easterby duo the one that appeals most at the prices is SCENIC RIVER who travelled well on her debut before lack of fitness told and she’s expected to do better here and is preferred to her stablemate Mr Greenlight.
  1. Scenic River
  2. Weeton
  3. Tarnhelm
