Step up to 7f suited, winning by a short head over Quizzical at the Galway Festival. Below-par performance last time out in a Listowel handicap beaten 2½L. Looks opposable.

Dream Ahead gelding has plenty speed in pedigree and won well on debut winning a Curragh maiden by a head over 6f. Expected to improve for the outing.

Looked to improve on debut run when beaten 1¼L at the Curragh last month but disappointed last time out at the same track. Drop to 6f could suit.

By Kyllachy out of a Amadeus Wolf mare related to mutiple winners Dubai Dynamo, Toto Skyllachy and recent Redcar winner Short Work. Looks a tall order on debut.

Improved on satisfactory debut run at Lingfield over 7f when winning a novice auction stakes at Beverley over 7½f last week. Interesting GB raider.

€8,000 yearling by Elzaam out of the winning hurdler (Flat placed) Only Exception. 10th of 15 in lacklustre bedut in a Navan 6f maiden. Tough ask here.

Breaking her maiden when successful in a 15 runner maiden at Navan, before a below-par performance at Fairyhouse over 6f on soft. Could hit the frame.

Second-rate performances in two career starts at Roscommon and Listowel, well beaten on both occasions. Others hold stronger profiles.

Improved from his debut to finish runner-up at Leopardstown last time out. Winner finished third in a Listed race and the third has won since. Promising fourth of 29 at the Curragh over 6f. In good form and sure to play a hand again.

The penny seems to be dropping for the filly in her last three starts with some concrete performances. Could well improve again and one for the shortlist.

Her value increased to €27,000 as a juvenile, and this Dandy Man filly looked certain to benefit from the experience when a never nearer fourth to Brick by Brick on debut at The Curragh.

Rockafilly36

Disappointing in two career starts both at the Curragh. Difficult to see a turnaround of fortunes in this company.

Stumbled leaving the stalls losing any chance on debut at Dundalk in March and heavily eased when beaten. Not to be written-off just yet given her breeding.

Forecasts

Would You Believe (7/4), The Broghie Man (7/2), Apple Anni (5/1), Swiss Cottage (6/1), Spiorad Saoirse (11/1), Sunday Smart (14/1), Powersville (16/1), Soffia (16/1), Tuamhain (25/1), Face Off (25/1), Stewardess (25/1), Eadbhard (50/1), Rockafilly (66/1), Sea The Spray (66/1)

Verdict

Spiorad Saoirse will get on with it from the one gate with plenty of early speed coming from stalls 11 and 14 with Powersville and Stewardess. The early contested speed could set it up for a late closer. The Broghie Man and Apple Ani could improve on their most recent starts and hit the frame while preference is for the Ger Lyons-trained WOULD YOU BELIEVE who can improve once again on debut win at the Curragh.

  2. The Broghie Man
  3. Apple Anni
