Dam was a sister to the smart 1m winner Princess Arta. Cost 42,000 guineas as a yearling but the presence of a hood is slightly off-putting for her debut. Likely to need further in any case.
Sir Percy filly out of a dam who won over 6f, including as a juvenile. Yard not renowned for winning newcomers and the percentage call would be to leave her alone first time out.

Cost €20,000 and has shown bits and pieces of promise in novice auctions at Pontefract and Sandown so far. Likely to give another decent account over this longer trip without being quite good enough.

Out of a dam who won over 1m3f and, though yard can ready a newcomer, this one looks as though she is bred for middle-distances. Market move would be interesting though.

Half-brother to numerous winners, most notably the smart middle-distance/stayer Big Orange. Plenty to like but overall profile suggests she will need time.

First foal out of a 1m2f-1m4f winner. By New Approach, so plenty to like on paper and yard's juveniles are invariably well-forward. Presence of a tongue-tie tempers enthusiasm slightly, however.

A half-sister to the 1m winner Trust The Wind. Cost 67,000 guineas and evidently well thought of to warrant a Fillies' Mile entry. Presence of a hood for her debut a niggling concern, however.

Nothing special on paper and failed to shine when unfancied for her debut over 1m at Kempton last month, going off at 66/1. Should only improve but hard to envisage her being good enough here.

Sets the standard on known form having only gone down by just 3¼ to Soliloquy in a decent-looking 7f maiden at Ascot earlier this month. Having cost 180,0000 guineas, there should be a fair bit more to come.

Forecasts

Magic Lily (5/2), Mystic Meg (5/2), Trump Alexander (11/4), Dance To Paris (7/1), Heather Lark (14/1), India (25/1), Bob's Girl (33/1), Consolida (40/1), Speed Craft (50/1)

Verdict

A couple of interesting newcomers in the shape of Magic Lily and the Fillies' Mile entry, Mystic Meg, but the fact that they are fitted with a tongue-tie and hood respectively cannot be regarded as a positive. With that in mind it may pay to play safe and stick with TRUMP ALEXANDER who offered plenty to build on by shaping encouragingly in a hot-looking maiden at Ascot first time out.
  1. Trump Alexander
  2. Magic Lily
  3. Mystic Meg
