Winner over 6f at Thirsk on good ground in June and has performed with credit in novice stakes on the AW at Wolverhampton the past twice. Probably most effective over this trip, and back into a nursery tonight.
Clung on to take a 7f novice stakes by a neck at Haydock on his third career start, beating the most progressive debutant, and now 106 rated Group 3 winner Stage Magic. Not so good since, but a reduced mark of 73 makes appeal.
Becoming a difficult horse to assess and appears somewhat of an in and out performer. His better efforts (Pontefract debut and Hamilton nursery bow) give him every chance, but below par on his last outing three weeks ago.
All the rage in the market on debut over C&D in May (sixth) in a race which produced the Coventry Stakes winner Rajasinghe, but disappointing at Thirsk next time. Much stronger at Redcar latest (third) and a likely player on nursery debut.
Has kept some strong company since a pleasing effort at Salisbury in June (second to Veejay over 6f), but unable to take advantage of an ease in grade at Sandown latest, and now tries the AW for the first time seeking more.
Made steady if unspectacular progress in four starts for Richard Fahey (mainly over 5f), but moved on since her last outing at Carlisle. Worth a check in the market for any support for a trainer who excels with stable newcomers.
Not shown masses of obvious ability thus far, and has been dropped 2lb since making his nursery debut at Carlisle last week (6f heavy). His sole previous AW start was on Fibresand, so worth a try on this much fairer racing surface.
Back number in three starts to date (including twice at this track). Hard to imagine he can muster the required improvement in order to be involved despite a lowly opening mark.
Has managed to beat very few home in three starts so far at Musselburgh, Carlisle and Thirsk. Switches to the AW for his first start in a nursery, but makes no appeal from out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Fink Hill (9/4), Leeshaan (7/2), Onefootinparadise (11/2), Sinaloa (6/1), Another Day Of Sun (9/1), Lina's Star (10/1), Skyva (16/1), Albarino (33/1), El Bertie (40/1)
An all too obvious opportunity for FINK HILL to strike on his nursery debut. He is clearly held in high regard at home by Richard Guest judging by the level of sustained market support on his first two starts, and with the obvious benefit of hindsight, he faced a nigh impossible task on debut at this track in May. His recent third placed effort at Redcar (to Fyre Cay) was a clear sign that he's back on track, and he promises to be tough to beat in a race where perhaps Leeshaan is the likeliest danger assuming that James Tate can bring him back to the level of form he demonstrated at Haydock in June.
- Fink Hill
- Leeshaan
