Successful over C&D on his penultimate start and put in a good effort off a 3lb higher mark when a close third on soft-to-heavy ground at The Curragh earlier this month. One to note conceding weight all round.
Out of form since finishing runner-up over 1m here back in March and tackling this trip for just the second time since joining this stable.
Placed third over this C&D in a valuable contest off this mark last month. Disappointing returning to turf subsequently but likely to appreciate this return to the AW and is one for the shortlist in this contest.
Disappointing since finishing runner-up over 1m4f at The Curragh (good) back in May. Has won over 1m4f here in the past and is an interesting runner today.
Successful three times as a two-year-old including in a Group 3 event at Newmarket (7f, good-to-soft). Highly tried last year and this looks a weaker contest than those he's been contesting of late.
Finished runner-up over 1m at Killarney (good) in July but disappointing in two starts since. Others make more appeal in this event.
Victorious over 1m2f at Leopardstown (good) in June and ran well when finishing a close fifth over this C&D last month. Didn't get the clearest of runs on that occasion and she is an interesting runner today.
Running well in the main since breaking his maiden over 1m on debut here back in February. Successfu off a mark of 81 at Gowran Park in June and returns from a break having disappointed subsequently.
Ran well over 1m4f at Leopardstown (good-to-firm) back in May but failed to beat a rival home in two subsequent starts including over the same C&D the following month. Tongue tie applied on his first run in over three months.
Signs of ability in four maiden starts so far including when third over 1m2f at The Curragh (good) on his penultimate start. Others have a more obvious chance today.
Forecasts
Spruce Meadows (7/2), Jaqen H'ghar (7/2), Sanus Per Aquam (4/1), De Coronado (5/1), Poitin (6/1), World Tax War (14/1), St Gallen (16/1), Remember The Days (16/1), Three Jacks (20/1), Red Avenger (25/1)
DE CORONADO ran well off this mark over C&D on his penultimate outing and can register a second victory on the AW in this valuable event. The selection disappointed last time out but remains unexposed on this surface and can get the better of Sanus Per Aquam who contests just his second handicap today while top weight Spruce Meadows can follow up a good third last time out by filling the same position in this contest.
- De Coronado
- Sanus Per Aquam
- Spruce Meadows
