Didn't look as though he was progressing at all (tried in blinkers once) and had a touch of temperament before he got off the mark back on the AW. That was in a weaker grade than he faces today though and the 7lb rise looks harsh for winning that heat.

66/1 and in first-time blinkers from 8lb out of the handicap when taking the runner-up spot in a decent nursery at Goodwood. Taking his overall profile as a guide though it's hard to say if he'll be able to build on that run off his correct mark.

Soft ground over 6f appeared to suit him when he good off the mark on his third start in a Salisbury maiden. Didn't really show his best last time at York up in trip/grade and he'll appreciate this return to 6f having shown a good attitude in his win.

His win at Goodwood in June promised much more than he's subsequently delivered although the 7f trip that he's run over the last twice may have been a touch too far. Returns to sprinting here and given a chance to build on that Goodwood win.

A well-bred sort he got back on track last time out having run poorly twice since a promising debut. He's only been dropped 1lb for his effort last time and ultimately his mark still looks a stiff one but he should do better in time.

Started at the head of the market on all three of her starts and has shown potential on all of them. Now makes her first handicap start with the blinkers on for the first time although she may just need 7f to be seen at her very best.

Forecasts

Royal Household (15/8), Forever In Love (3/1), Central City (7/2), Fighting Irish (7/1), New Empire (17/2), Hard Graft (16/1)

Verdict

Just the sextet go to post for this nursery and a return to 6f may well at last see ROYAL HOUSEHOLD show his best having caught the eye in his last two runs over further. It may well be that Forever In Love needs further but she’s of interest on her handicap debut and will once again be fancied in the market. Fighting Irish is another for whom the return to 6f promises to prove beneficial and he has a very likeable attitude. New Empire may not repeat his surprise run last time while Central City and Hard Graft look to have fairly stiff tasks.
