Has been enjoying another decent campaign over 7f/1m and won over C&D (soft) in August. 3lb higher today after a couple of hefty recent defeats, but back here and freshened up by a change of scenery he could go well.
Stays 1m½f and acts on soft ground, both promising credentials. 2lb higher than when scoring at Nottingham in May (good to firm) and another who can't be ruled out.
Has put together a largely consistent campaign, winning at Wolverhampton (1m1½f, AW) in April and making the frame three times since, including on turf at Navan in July. 3lb lower today so has claims, though wide draw not ideal.
Acts with cut in the ground, although has largely raced on good to firm this season, making the frame three times including at Beverley last month. Has been unable to find an extra gear in the closing stages, but has each-way claims again.
Enjoyed a purple patch at Ayr and Nottingham in June and July, but a nudge up the handicap has put paid to him since. No obvious reason why he will improve this time, though he may eek out a bit on this ground, but looks exposed.
Scored on debut at Newcastle (7f, AW) last month, but well beaten in turf handicaps at Doncaster (1m2f, good) and Thirsk (1m, soft) since then. Dropped 2lb for this, but has a bit to prove.
Enjoys getting his toe in and won't mind any further rain before the off. Pipped by just a neck over C&D (soft) in August when 5lb lower. Well held from this mark last time at Ripon, but back here and on a slower surface he could do better.
His best effort so far was here over C&D (soft) in August when 3lb lower and beaten just ½L in to second. Since beaten from today's mark on the All Weather, but not ruled out now back at a track on which he is proven.
Now back on the same mark as when last winning at Beverley in June (good to soft). Scored over C&D last autumn (also good to soft) and apart from last time out, he has not been performing badly of late. Should go well.
Goes well here, although he is definitely better on good or faster ground than today's forecast conditions. Back on a very competitive mark and he is another who can't be ruled out.

Forecasts
Election Day (7/2), Spinart (4/1), Mr Cool Cash (9/2), Mushaireb (8/1), Lamloom (9/1), Dandyleekie (12/1), Thaqaffa (12/1), Briyouni (12/1), Trinity Star (14/1), Echo Of Lightning (16/1), Pushaq (16/1), Carnival King (16/1)
A wide open race on paper. Dandyleekie goes well here, as does Trinity Star and both have claims along with Mr Cool Cash and Election Day. Thaqaffa and Carnival King each has a squeak too, but ECHO OF LIGHTNING seemed well suited to this place when slamming his field on soft ground on his last visit and although 3lb higher, he should give a very good account.
- Echo Of Lightning
- Dandyleekie
- Thaqaffa
