Is 10lb higher than when winning at Newmarket in June but has shown lately he can compete of this sort of rating, narrowly denied previous two runs in higher class. First-time cheekpieces added could eke out a bit more.

All four of the filly's wins have come over 5f, so the combination of 6f and expected soft ground here is far from ideal. Beaten more than 10L at Ripon last time stepped up to this trip.

Improved on second start to win Doncaster maiden last month over this trip on good ground. Straight into handicaps now and opening mark doesn't exactly see him thrown in. Likely improver however.

All six previous runs have come on the AW in Ireland, winning a Dundalk maiden in January over 1m. Struggled after in two handicaps and since left Mick Halford for this yard, hasn't run over a trip this short before, returns from 188 days off.

Two wins have come on the AW over this trip and doesn't seem anything like as comfortable on turf so far, soft ground is also a reason for concern and may be best watched.

Poor strike rate (1-18) but showing more appetite in four runs for this handler, placed in previous two starts. That one win came on with some cut in the ground so conditions look ideal can be competitive with useful apprentice to help.

Didn't need to improve when decisively winning Hamilton maiden last time (6f, good to soft), had gone close at Doncaster in a handicap off this mark previously too, respected.

Winner over this trip at Nottingham in May (good to soft), beaten favourite on next two starts though ran well enough. Flopped last time on AW at Chelmsford but could rebound to form now on turf with ground no worry.

Verdict

STANHOPE has gone up the ratings lately but he's already twice displayed he can cope with this sort of mark when filling the runner-up spot in better class races at Leicester and Newmarket. Soft ground holds no fears and with the new cheekpieces potentially going to aid, he can take the finale. Plenty have claims in this line-up, Doncaster maiden winner Equitation could take another step forward on handicap bow while Jessinamillion got a nice confidence boost when taking a Hamilton maiden last time and holds every chance back off this mark. Father Mckenzie has been showing signs of a return to winning ways for this trainer and will love the ground, along with Hollie Doyle's useful claim.
