Showed the benefit of being gelded with an easy win in a maiden at Nottingham last time out, always traveling best and quickening up smartly when asked. Fairly handicapped on that and the sort to continue to progress.
Flopped on the AW over a mile 20 days ago but previous figures on turf this summer of 212 suggest a forgiving attitude to that run is called for. Cheekpieces on first time and just 3lb higher than last month's Brighton success over 7f.
No win for a couple of years, handicapper is releasing his grip but in truth he shows no signs of being able to take advantage and unable to sustain effort over this trip at Chepstow a fortnight ago on second start for this yard.
Three wins from eight starts this year and progressing nicely, scored a double at Nottingham and Sandown last month over this sort of trip in testing ground. Didn't enjoy much luck at Hamilton and isn't crossed off.
Both career wins have come on the AW, returned from a break over 1m at Chelmsford last month and was too keen in front to last time. First turf start for this yard, hood goes back on, but plenty more needed.
Has shown little since joining his current yard from Mark Johnston's stable and needs to display some green shoots of recovery. Beaten 13L at Brighton in May (1m2f, good) when last out. Has won off 82 before, but needs to show some positives.
Forecasts
Zabeel Prince (8/11), Wealth Tax (4/1), Eltezam (11/2), Honiara (9/1), London (20/1), Hawatif (25/1)
Zabeel Prince hasn't enjoyed much racing so far but he won a Nottingham maiden in June with plenty up his sleeve and is due plenty respect going handicapping on his first start since. He should have more to offer, but will need to prove it against some consistent performers to get the prize on offer. Wealth Tax has been in good form this year with three wins and could bounce back into contention having not enjoyed a clear run at Hamilton last time. HONIARA is forgiven a flop on the AW last time and given the nod to continue an excellent turf campaign. The gelding has two wins and a second from three starts and is just 3lb higher than last month Brighton success. With his new headgear, he may eke out some more and land this.
