Has the benefit of two runs under his belt, including on this sort of ground at Ffos Las last time over 7½f where the penny was dropping late on. Can improve again.
Iffraaj colt related to multiple winners including the useful two-year-old 6f winner Heaven's Heart. Also has plenty leaning for stamina in pedigree and market can steer opening expectations.
Dubawi colt cost 75,000 gns, beaten just 1L into third of seven on debut at Ascot over 7f (heavy) this month and a step forward on that will put him to the front of the queue here for in-form trainer.
Foxwedge gelding makes first start and is likely to be looking for a bit further than this in time to be seen to best effect.
Lemon Drop Kid colt cost 72,000 gns as a yearling, dam lightly raced in Japan, half-sister to smart winner up to 6f Land of Dreams.
Le Havre colt makes debut here, yard not noted for producing two-year-winners (1-15 in 2017) and possibly best watched for now.
Intello colt whose dam was 7f winner (including as juvenile), from family of Cheveley Park winner Regal Rose. Trainer and jockey have 26% strike rate together in 2017.
Dubawi colt is a brother to useful 7f winner To Dibba, Varian team are in good form lately (6-36) and has to command attention for this debut run.
Cityscape colt who cost 11,000gns as a yearling, finished last of six on AW at Chelmsford recently on debut over 6f.
Lawman colt is a half-brother to some useful winners, yard amongst the winners recently and market check is called for here with support noted.
Hurricane Run colt cost €50,000 as a yearling, brother to some useful winners but likely going to need more than 7f in time to showcase his best.
Forecasts
Dream Warrior (1/1), Regal Reality (9/4), Rich Identity (11/2), Comporta (16/1), Bajan Gold (20/1), Sheriff (25/1), Grandscape (33/1), Twister (33/1), Launceston Place (50/1), Go Fox (66/1), Roof Garden (100/1)
Bajan Gold appeared to be getting the hang of things late in the piece last time at Ffos Las. He'll handle the ground and, with further improvement likely, could take plenty beating in this. Similarly, Dream Warrior made a more than decent start last time at Ascot when a close third in testing ground and any improvement makes him a likeable candidate for this contest. REGAL REALITY however makes significant appeal on paper for this debut run and represents the powerful axis of Stoute and Moore who retain a strong strike rate this year. The handler has had just seven runners here in 2017, with two wins and two placed efforts and can take away another prize today.
- Regal Reality
- Dream Warrior
- Bajan Gold
