Had looked a longer term prospect based on her first two runs but showed a lot more last time out and outran her 50/1 SP considerably. The 6f trip may well have helped (first two starts over 5f) and now steps up to 7f with more to come.

Sixth foal of a dam who was a winner at up to 1m4f and stayed 2m so there is plenty of stamina on the distaff side of the pedigree. Yard have a reasonable record with debutantes and this one is worth looking at in the market.

Very green on her debut she showed a lot more on her second start over the same trip (6f) but on softer ground at Haydock after a short break. Probably shaped better than her final placing due to her track position and not totally out of this.

Failed to really progress in minor events over 7f and was switched to handicaps last time out where she matched just about matched her previous form. Probably not seen to best effect (raced off the pace) and blinkers go on for her return to novice company.

Given a very considerate introduction over a mile at Thirsk when held-up off a steady pace (kept on without being at all knocked about). The second showed that to be decent form since and no surprise to see her step forward here despite the drop to 7f.

Cost €6,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to five winners the best of which was Lucky General (juvenile 6f winner). Yard have only had one two-year-old winner this year (limited runners) but she isn't as stoutly bred as some of these and best watched.

Verdict

There looks as though there could be some improvement in some of these with Bee Ina Bonnet one of those after her recent Haydock run where she showed more and finished in front of Helen Sherbet. Celestin’s has a pedigree that suggests that she will need this trip and more in time but comes from a powerful yard and merits plenty of respect. Ruysch looks a little better than her last run but she may not have the improvement of some of these and the vote goes to SEMPRE PRESTO. She showed up well on her debut under tender handling and although the step back to 7f is a slight worry the stiff nature of the finish here should suit her.

  3. Bee Ina Bonnet
